An Eagles fan who climbed and then fell from a light pole in Philadelphia after the team’s NFC Championship game win died on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old, identified as Temple University student Tyler Sabapathy, suffered brain trauma after a fall on 15th and Market streets on Sunday night and was then placed on life support before dying at Jefferson Hospital, ABC 6 in Philly reported Tuesday.

Eagles fans are known for their raucous celebrations after big wins. On Sunday, a mostly joyous celebration on the streets of Philadelphia turned scary when a car drove into a crowd of fans celebrating the Eagles’ 55-23 NFC championship win over the Washington Commanders. The incident occurred in the Spring Garden section at around 9:30 p.m., according to ABC’s Philadelphia affiliate. Philadelphia police soon posted on social media that the driver was in custody and that the ā€œcollision did not immediately appear to be intentional.ā€ The victims did not suffer...

The U.S. Justice Department wants a judge to declare that a Pennsylvania city’s method of electing council members citywide instead of by districts has illegally diluted the political power of its growing Hispanic population, arguing in a lawsuit that Hazleton is violating the federal Voting Rights Act.

A complaint filed Tuesday in Scranton federal court claims the ā€œat-largeā€ system ā€œresults in Hispanic citizens not having an equal opportunity to participate in the political process and to elect candidates of their choice.ā€

On Sept. 7, 1895, a group of 11 children and young adults from the Winnebago, Omaha and Cheyenne tribes arrived in the town of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. They had been sent on their 1,200-mile journey by Capt. W.H. Beck, an Indian agent who oversaw the Winnebago and Omaha tribes at a time when the federal government was breaking up reservation lands.

John Grant, at 12 years old, was the youngest of the group; 26-year-old John Clay was the oldest. Three were orphans.

According to polls, Democrat Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) would not have improved 2024 Democratic vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris’ chances of securing the Pennsylvania vote.

The New York Times found that Shapiro would not have given Harris an advantage despite Walz governing the Keystone state. Pennsylvania is one of seven crucial states believed to determine the outcome of the 2024 election.

The polling convention claimed Harris would have secured the state’s vote with Shapiro on her side, but Harris’ campaign argued otherwise.

Vice President Kamala Harris will appear Tuesday alongside her newly selected running mate at a Philadelphia rally before the duo hits the road for a campaign blitz.

ā€œThis swing will allow the Vice President and her running mate to speak directly with voters in their communities and cement the contrast between our ticket and Trump’s,ā€ the Harris campaign said.

Once an advocate of a complete ban on fracking, Vice President Kamala Harris reversed course when she became the Democrats’ presumptive presidential nominee.

The 2024 election hinges on Pennsylvania voters. Fracking, the extraction of natural gas and oil from bedrock, makes up a critical part of Pennsylvania’s economy, supporting more than 100,000 jobs in the state, according to a recent analysis.

Thomas Matthew Crooks apparently teased an attack online days before he climbed onto a roof and opened fire at a Pennsylvania campaign rally, killing one and injuring others, including former President Donald Trump, Fox News has learned.

Secret Service and FBI officials told U.S. senators during an all-members briefing on Wednesday, July 17, that Crooks, 20, wrote a threatening message on the gaming platform "Steam" days before the attempted assassination in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich reported.
