Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey issued cease-and-desist orders against Planned Parenthood facilities in the state to bar them from offering medication abortions even though they do not provide them. “Planned Parenthood has a documented history of subverting state law, including failure to file complication reports,” Bailey said in a press release issued Wednesday. “This cease and desist letter ensures that basic health and safety standards are met.

The 25th member of President Donald Trump's cabinet was confirmed Monday despite concerns about her past work for Planned Parenthood. The Republican-controlled Senate voted 67-32 to confirm Lori Chavez-DeRemer as the U.S. Secretary of Labor on Monday. While Sens. Ted Budd, R-N.C., Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. and Rand Paul, R-Ky. opposed her nomination, more than a dozen Democrats supported her confirmation, enabling her nomination to sail through. Democrats who voted for Chavez-DeRemer’s confirmation are: Sens.

EXCLUSIVE — Six Los Angeles-area school districts are receiving sexual health services from Planned Parenthood to the tune of $1.4 million, according to documents from the Los Angeles County Public Health Department. Documents uncovered by Parents Defending Education, a parents’ rights watchdog group, reveal that the Public Health Department, with the approval of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, engaged Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, or PPLA, to provide “sexual health services including education and counseling” to several high schools in area school districts.

President Trump and his administration have an opportunity to protect vulnerable human lives while at the same time ensuring that women and families receive true health care in the comfort of their own communities. That opportunity starts with defunding Planned Parenthood, which is currently raking in nearly $700 million each year in taxpayer funding, all while have committed serious ethical violations — from covering up child sex abuse to aiding sex traffickers. Here are some actions that could be taken to end the funding flowing to this corporation, which has...

Several Republican senators are demanding detailed information about the federal funds allocated to Planned Parenthood during the COVID-19 pandemic. Citing concerns over the use of taxpayer money, GOP lawmakers are calling for transparency regarding the financial support the organization received under pandemic relief programs to perform procedures such as abortion. This push arises amid ongoing scrutiny of how government funds were distributed and whether they were adequately allocated to essential services during the health crisis.

FIRST ON THE DAILY SIGNAL—Two U.S. senators are demanding documents from the Small Business Administration regarding how much COVID-19 relief aid Planned Parenthood chapters received. Sens. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, and Rand Paul, R-Ky., sent the letter Friday to Kelly Loeffler, the SBA’s administrator. The letter concerns funds from the Paycheck Protection Program, a creation of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act of 2020, which provided forgivable loans to small businesses struggling with economic disruption from the COVID-19 lockdowns.

More than 20 schools cut abortion ties following report About one in nine Christian colleges have some form of connection with Planned Parenthood, a recent investigation by the Pro-Life Generation’s Demetree Institute for Pro-Life Advancement found. The institute, an initiative of Students for Life of America, “investigated 732 colleges and universities affiliated with Christian churches in the United States for the fourth year in a row, finding that 83 … maintain some type of relationship with Planned Parenthood,” according to the report.

Wednesday’s narrow, pre-trial ruling — from George H.W. Bush appointee Rhesa Barksdale, George W. Bush appointee Leslie Southwick and Barack Obama appointee James Graves Jr. — focused on the challengers’ attempt to hold Planned Parenthood’s national organization financially liable by arguing that the group’s lawyers wrongly advised their affiliates in Texas and Louisiana to continue billing Medicaid while the case played out. The appeals court held that the attorneys can’t be sued by a third party for advice they gave to their own clients. “If private attorneys did not have...

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Jackson County Circuit Court judge gave Missouri abortion rights proponents a win Friday by granting a motion to lift the state's abortion facility licensing requirement law. Judge Jerri Zhang issued the ruling as part of several orders released Friday. Last November, Missouri voters approved Amendment 3, clearing the way for abortions up to fetal viability. The provisions of the amendment were set to take effect within 30 days of the vote, but abortion providers in the state sought court clarification and approval before resuming abortion-related...

SALT LAKE CITY — A Utah House committee voted to advance two bills Thursday that would ban pride flags and other political flags from being displayed in classrooms and prohibit Planned Parenthood from teaching health in schools. Under HB77, sponsored by Rep. Trevor Lee, R-Layton, public schools and other government buildings would only be allowed to display flags listed in the bill, which include the U.S. flag, state flag, flags of Native American tribes, military flags, flags of other countries and flags for colleges and universities. It passed out of...
