The amendment declares that children's rights to moral, physical and spiritual development supersede any right other than the right to life, including the right to peaceful assembly.

Hungary's parliament has passed an amendment to the constitution that allows the government to ban public events by LGBTQ+ communities, a decision that legal scholars and critics are calling another step toward authoritarianism.

The amendment, which required a two-thirds vote, passed along party lines with 140 votes for and 21 against.

Corporations — entities that have long capitalized on social causes to chase profit — seem to be telling on themselves with an apparent pullback on Pride Month marketing this year.

ā€œThere’s been a definite scaling back in both big and small ways,ā€ Joanna Schwartz, a marketing professor who studies outreach to LGBTQ audiences at Georgia College & State University, told Vox. ā€œI had expected some brand caution, but this year seems [to be] a near full-scale retreat.ā€

The top intelligence agency in the United States is celebrating Pride Month by inviting agents to have the transgender flag painted on their nails, participate in a ā€œPride Ally Challenge,ā€ and learn from a ā€œnon-binary,ā€ ā€œFilipinxā€ activist who has taught children about her non-binary identity, a document exclusively obtained by The Daily Wire reveals.

The Kansas City Chiefs offer a ā€œPride Collectionā€ of merchandise for the team’s LGBTQ+ fans. But social media posts are making the unsupported claim that the team ā€œRefuses to Participate in Pride Monthā€ this year. The claim apparently originated in a satirical article, and we could find no announcement from the team regarding this year’s Pride Month.

Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Uprising for gay rights in Manhattan on June 28, 1969, and celebrates the contributions of LGBTQ+ people with parades and other events throughout June.

Pride Month in Jacksonville would have looked different this year if Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) had gotten his way.

While for the last three years, the city’s Acosta Bridge was lit up with rainbows to celebrate Pride, the Florida Department of Transportation said that bridges in the state would have to be lit up with red, white, and blue to celebrate ā€œFreedom Summer,ā€ which some critics have said was created to thwart municipalities showing Pride colors.

Saturday will mark the start of ā€œPrideā€ month, in which advocates of LGBTQIA+ causes celebrate that movement. In recent years, June has seen major corporate chains feature an array of ā€œPrideā€-themed merchandise and decorations, though some offerings have prompted considerable backlash from a non-receptive -- even hostile public -- in recent years.

The State Department is funding an array of LGBT pride events across the globe ahead of June, some of which include events focused on children, federal grant records show.

Biden’s State Department is bankrolling a gay film festival, an LGBT community conference and other pride events in Australia, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria in the lead-up to June, according to grant records. Some observe June as ā€œPride Monthā€ to commemorate the Stonewall riots, a series of clashes between LGBT people and the police after law enforcement raided a gay bar.
