The Republican National Committee selected Vice President JD Vance to serve as the organization’s finance chairman, marking the first time a sitting vice president has held the role in its history. ā€œTo fully enact the MAGA mandate and President Trump’s vision that voters demanded, we must keep and grow our Republican majorities in 2026,ā€ Vance said in a statement Tuesday. ā€œI am excited to work with Chairman Whatley and the RNC leadership to build the war chest we need to deliver those victories next November.ā€ Republicans have control of both...

Michael Whatley, chair of the Republican National Committee, told Newsmax on Friday that the flurry of moves made during President Donald Trump's second term is because every employee at the White House is committed to restoring America. "The American people have made it very clear they have one agenda," Whatley said on "National Report." "That agenda is a strong southern border, a strong economy and a strong America. President Trump has come in, he is fighting every day for those principles. And we're seeing wins across the spectrum right now."...

Former Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman Ronna McDaniel shot down President Donald Trump’s plan to ethnically cleanse Gaza and turn it into a ā€œrivieraā€ on Tuesday, suggesting that the idea would not be able to get off the ground. Reacting on NewsNation’s Cuomo to Trump’s remarks, McDaniel said: Listen, I don’t think that this is something we’re gonna hear again. You saw Netanyahu kind of say, ā€œWell we’ll look at it, review it.ā€ Obviously, this is President Trump always thinking outside the box, always looking at different things, but it’s...

During a Saturday appearance on Newsmax, Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley emphasized the importance of understanding voter concerns and delivering tangible solutions to maintain GOP dominance. Whatley underscored the party's focus on solidifying support among voters and maintaining its majority status in upcoming election cycles, citing a need to address fundamental concerns like the economy, community safety, and national security.

The Republican National Committee easily reelected Michael Whatley as chairman, following through on President-elect Donald Trump’s request for him to stay on. Whatley successfully steered the RNC through the 2024 cycle, helping Trump triumphantly return back to the White House after vanquishing Vice President Kamala Harris. KC Crosbie, a Kentucky GOP activist who was previously the RNC’s treasurer, was elected as Whatley’s co-chairwoman, replacing Lara Trump. Neither faced competition. Members gave Whatley a standing ovation after he was unanimously reelected.

Within days, Trump publicly said the four-term chair should step down from her post. Weeks later, Whatley was formally installed, two days after Trump’s last remaining GOP rival, Nikki Haley, relented and ended her campaign for president. In the time since, Trump clinched the Republican nomination and placed his top campaign officials in key RNC roles. Trump effectively merged the committee with his own presidential campaign, widened his coalition with working class and minority voters and won the presidential race. His daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, sat on stage at the RNC’s...

The chairman of the Republican National Committee expressed little to no concern that Pam Bondi would face significant problems sailing through Senate confirmation hearings to become President-elect Donald Trumpā€˜s attorney general. ā€œI fully expect that Pam will be confirmed,ā€ said Chairman Michael Whatley in a press call with reporters one day before Bondi’s hearing begins.

Former RNC chair Reince Preibus slammed former President Barack Obama and other Democrats after Obama’s friendly conversation with president-elect Donald Trump at the memorial for Jimmy Cater last week, saying it exposed claims of fascism and Nazism about Trump as a ā€œsham.ā€ During the November election, Obama along with other prominent Democrats and media critics claimed Trump was a ā€œfascistā€ and compared him to Adolf Hitler. However, during Carter’s memorial in Washington D.C, the two former president appeared to have a friendly conversation as they sat through the church service....

FBI seeks new leads on suspect who placed pipe bombs outside DNC, RNC buildings in 2021 The FBI's announcement was made within hours of a report from congressional Republicans condemning investigators for having yet to make an arrest in the planned attack. The FBI has released new information about an unknown suspect who planted two pipe bombs nearly four years ago near the headquarters of the Republican and Democratic national committee headquarters in Washington, D.C. The devices were discovered and disarmed on the eve of the Jan. 6 Capital assault...
