No matter what a federal judge rules, Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., told Newsmax on Thursday he is opposed to birthright citizenship.

"I think birthright citizenship is ridiculous. We're one of the few nations that allow it," Johnson said on "Rob Schmitt Tonight."

A federal judge on Thursday temporarily blocked President Donald Trump's executive order ending the constitutional guarantee of birthright citizenship regardless of the parents' immigration status.

MADISON — The Republican Party of Wisconsin has hired Andrew Iverson, an operative with experience on Wisconsin-based campaigns and the Republican National Committee, as its executive director as the party's national convention in Milwaukee approaches. Iverson, a Wisconsin native, most recently served as regional political director for the RNC. He has also held roles as state director for the Trump Victory (a joint operation of the RNC and former President Donald Trump's campaign) and on the campaigns of U.S. Sen. Ron Johnson and U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil. He is a...

The No. 3 ranked golfer in the world, Jon Rahm, has left the PGA Tour in favor of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf in a deal worth over $300 million. After what seemed to be a truce when the PGA Tour and LIV Golf announced in June that the two entities would merge to ā€œuniteā€ golf, no official deal has been made, and the Saudis have poached their most high-profile golfer yet. ā€œI have asked Congress to let the sides reach an agreement without interference. The offer made to Jon Rahm...

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said on Tuesday that he is willing to waive his blockade of the Senate’s effort to pass spending legislation if he wins an amendment vote on a bill to end government shutdowns.

Lawmakers told reporters that Johnson was in discussions with Sen. Susan Collins (Maine), the top Republican on the Senate Appropriations Committee, about the potential amendment vote to the trio of funding bills — known as a ā€œminibusā€ — the upper chamber is attempting to move.

Former President Barack Obama should allow the National Archives (NARA) to release President Joe Biden’s emails and records linked to his alias email address accounts, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) told Breitbart News. Joe Biden, who used a global cell phone paid for by Hunter Biden, also used three email aliases to share government information and discuss business with Hunter Biden and associates, according to the Southeastern Legal Foundation (SLF). SLF first filed the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Archives for Biden’s emails in 2021. Two years later,...

On Fox News, Republican Sen. Ron Johnson said he caught Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a lie to Congress about communicating with Hunter Biden via email. Johnson said Blinken ought to resign or be impeached.

It’s significant when a U.S. senator accuses a top Cabinet official of lying, but there is less to the accusation than Johnson suggests.

The Republican chairs of the House Judiciary and Intelligence committees sent a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Thursday asking for information related to the crafting of a public letter signed weeks before the 2020 presidential election by dozens of former intelligence officials, who said they saw signs the Hunter Biden laptop story could be Russian disinformation.

Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., has directed Secretary of State Antony Blinken to preserve all records, requesting them amid allegations Blinken lied to Congress about his Hunter Biden contacts during the Obama administration. Now, Johnson told Newsmax on Tuesday's "Carl Higbie FRONTLINE," Blinken might ultimately face a subpoena for the requested records. "This stinks to high heaven: The secretary was not honest with Congress; he lied to us," Johnson told host Carl Higbie. "We have to discount the veracity of his entire testimony. He needs to be subpoenaed, but what he...

Republican Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin said Monday that Secretary of State Antony Blinken lied to Congress about his communications with Hunter Biden. ā€œHe was made aware of the fact that lying to Congress was a crime. He said he had no reason to lie. He had no reason to be truthful. He was not truthful. He did lie,ā€ Johnson told Fox Business host Larry Kudlow. ā€œWhich calls into question all of his testimony where he denied talking to Hunter Biden or having any knowledge about his workings with Burisma....
