The Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity's Daniel McAdams has revealed a rather concerning US government-affiliated non-governmental organization (NGO) based in Ukraine, which has published a list of 'enemies' that includes American journalists, business leaders, media outlets, websites, and basically anyone who has been critical of the Biden administration. And of course - they've already backpedaled.

He was one of the most energizing forces in the Republican primaries in 2008 and 2012, an improbable hero whose speeches drew libertarians and college students by the hundreds and sometimes thousands.

But don’t expect to see much of Ron Paul in his son’s presidential campaign.

The political class breathed a sigh of relief Saturday when the US Senate averted a government shutdown by passing the $1.1 trillion omnibus spending bill. This year's omnibus resembles omnibuses of Christmas past in that it was drafted in secret, was full of special interest deals and disguised spending increases, and was voted on before most members could read it.

ā€œLet’s say Ron Paul is Nirvana,ā€ said Kennedy, the television personality and former MTV host, by way of explaining the sort of politician who excites libertarians like herself. ā€œLike, the coolest, most amazing thing to come along in years, and the songs are nebulous but somehow meaningful, and the lead singer kills himself to preserve the band’s legacy.

ā€œThen Rand Paul — he’s Pearl Jam. Comes from the same place, the songs are really catchy, can really pack the stadiums, though it’s not quite Nirvana.

Former Rep. Ron Paul has taken his push for clemency for Edward Snowden to a new level, announcing he’s collected more than 37,000 signatures in the past five months — about a third of what he says he needs to get a White House response.

Mr. Paul wrote on his blog of Mr. Snowden’s ā€œsacrificesā€ to reveal ā€œthe disturbing scope of the National Security Agency[ā€˜s] … mass surveillance and data collection efforts,ā€ and said the U.S. government ought to award him clemency and let him return home.

A day after Ron Paul and his supporters held a boisterous pre-convention rally, Paul Ryan told Fox News that he thinks Paul's backers should ultimately "be very comfortable with us" -- as he downplayed any divisions the Republican ticket might have with the libertarian-leaning former presidential candidate.

Paul Ryan said Monday he expects Ron Paul supporters will come around to the Republican ticket and ā€œshould be very comfortable with us.Ā
Ryan told Fox News that he and Paul ā€œsee eye to eye on a lot of issues,Ā adding that he doesnt feel there is any tension with Paul ĆƒĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć¢ā‚¬Ā who held his own rally in Tampa on Sunday and did not endorse Romney ĆƒĀ¢Ć¢ā€šĀ¬Ć¢ā‚¬Ā or the Texas congressmans supporters.

As Rep. Ron Paul's third presidential bid is set to come to its formal end at the Republican National Convention, Paul sought to rally his loyal supporters with talk of a new era in American history.

"I'm convinced that we're living at the end of an era," Paul told the crowd at a rally in honor of him and his libertarian political movement. "The end of an era provides an opportunity," Paul added before laying out his view that an era in American government, foreign policy, and monetary policy that began in 1913 is coming to an end roughly a century later.
