It’s been a long time coming, but Alex Ovechkin can finally call himself the NHL’s all-time leading scorer with number 895 on Sunday.

The 39-year-old overtook Wayne Gretzky’s mark of 894 goals after scoring in the second period in the Washington Capitals 4-1 loss to the New York Islanders in Elmont, New York.

Ovechkin rocketed a wrist shot past goalie and fellow Russian Ilya Sorokin as the left winger’s family and Gretzky looked on at UBS Arena.

Joe Rogan has said he will not be working at UFC 315 in May, as he would “rather go to Russia” than Canada, where the event will play out.

UFC 315 is scheduled for 10 May at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, and given the fight card’s status as a pay-per-view event, many fans expected Rogan to be on commentary duties for the UFC.

Major League Baseball has removed the word “diversity” from the careers page of its website, joining other corporations that have pulled back on diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts since President Trump took office.

“Our values on diversity remain unchanged,” MLB said in a statement to the Associated Press on Friday.

“We are in the process of evaluating our programs for any modifications to eligibility criteria that are needed to ensure our programs are compliant with federal law as they continue forward.”

Tiger Woods has confirmed his relationship with the former daughter-in-law of President Donald Trump, publishing two images to social media in a post that said, “Love is in the air.”

Woods and Vanessa Trump, who was married to Donald Trump Jr., had been seen at Torrey Pines in San Diego along with her daughter, Kai, when Woods arrived for the final round to hand out the trophy to the winner of the Genesis Invitational. He is the tournament host.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom refuses to protect women’s sports just days after he claimed it was “unfair” for men to play in women’s sports.

In a podcast featuring Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk, Newsom said men in women’s sports are “unfair” but did not answer Kirk’s question as to whether men should be prohibited.

Newsom then suggested that there needs to be a way to balance fairness with the mental health of these young men, otherwise they might “commit suicide.”

“There’s also a humility and a grace...

ESPN host Stephen A. Smith challenged Whoopi Goldberg during â€œThe View” on Tuesday over the Democratic Party’s messaging problem after the liberal host attempted to defend the messaging by comparing it to President Donald Trump.

“If you think about him being impeached twice, 34 felony convictions, and they still elected him president, it’s not about him winning. It was an indictment against the Democratic Party and what the Democratic Party was offering to American citizens.

Schools in Philadelphia will continue allowing transgender athletes to play in girls sports even after the state of Pennsylvania announced it would comply with President Donald Trump's "No Men in Women's Sports" executive order.

The School District of Philadelphia announced in a statement provided to Fox News Digital Tuesday it will continue following its previous policy that enables transgender inclusion.

Whether it's on the ice or in the trophy cabinet, American hockey players have been rapidly melting Canada's long-time dominance of the sport.

When Team USA and Canada meet on the TD Garden rink in Boston Thursday night in the championship game of the inaugural 4 Nations Face-off (8 p.m. ET on ESPN), it'll mark one more instance of the neighbors appearing to be near-equals in the sport invented north of the border.

Disaster has struck the USA camp just over 24 hours before the 4 Nations Face-Off final showdown against Canada.

The Americans are set to clash with Canada once again Thursday in a rematch of their violent group-stage bust up with the inaugural title of the international tournament on the line.

However, Team USA has been rocked by a sickness bug with coach Mike Sullivan forced to look to bring in reinforcements as the illness sweeps through the camp, according to Pierre LeBrun.
