Former Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has been indicted by a grand jury for two charges from a March incident at a Starbucks in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he allegedly threatened to kill another driver and pulled out a gun, according to the Baltimore Sun. Suggs was charged with felony disorderly conduct involving a weapon and misdemeanor intimidation. Suggs, 41, was arrested on April 9 and released the next morning. He has pleaded not guilty and the trial date is set for Sept. 19. On March 10, Suggs was driving his black...

The series, set in New Orleans, features Emmy-nominated Giancarlo Esposito (”Breaking Bad,” “The Mandalorian”) as Gray, a broken and broke driver with a criminal past who reluctantly returns to his shadowy ways to pay the bills and eventually avenge the death of his teenage son. Mbakop’s character is not a fan of Parish ― or his more sophisticated, even-keeled younger brother, who goes by Horse and runs their very dirty human trafficking operation. “In African culture, the father usually gives the elder brother the family business,” said Mbakop, who has...

in the market should feel empowered to do so at any age and set aside apprehensions about it being too late to do so, a wealth management expert says. "You manage money, you invest money to mortality. It's just never too late," Wealth Enhancement Group Senior Vice President Nicole Webb said in an appearance on FOX Business Network's "Making Money With Charles Payne" Thursday. Webb noted one of the simplest ways to invest is by looking to improve the yield on savings given the federal funds rate. The benchmark interest...

Workers at two stores in Omaha have sent letters to the company stating their intent to form a union, according to Starbucks Workers United, which shared the letters on its social media accounts earlier this month. The letters, from workers at stores at 72nd and Dodge streets and 125th Street and West Center Road, cite issues with staffing, scheduling and training in their push for unionization. Starbucks spokesperson Andrew Tull said in a statement that while the company believes a direct relationship with employees is best, "we recognize that a...

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issued a complaint on Tuesday that would force Starbucks to reopen 23 stores, including eight in Washington, that were shut down to allegedly suppress union-organizing activity, according to the New York Times. At least seven of the 23 stores identified by the NLRB had unionized, according to the New York Times. "This complaint is the latest confirmation of Starbucks' determination to illegally oppose workers' organizing. It adds to the litany of complaints detailed in the company's own report released this morning. If Starbucks is...

SEATTLE — The nation’s top labor body said Wednesday it wants Starbucks to reopen 23 shuttered stores across the U.S., including seven in Seattle and one in Everett. According to a National Labor Relations Board complaint filed Wednesday, Starbucks violated labor law because it allegedly closed the stores due to union organizing. Seattle-based Starbucks cited safety concerns as the reason for the Seattle-area store closings, which happened last year. Half of the shuttered Washington stores were unionized.

Starbucks’s value is down billions of dollars. People online are calling for a boycott of Starbucks. The extent to which these two things are related, if they are at all, is not clear.

One thing is true here: The Seattle-based coffee company is not having a bang-up time heading into the end of the year. Its share price has seen a sharp decline since mid-November, falling by about 9 percent, meaning a decline of some $11 billion in its market cap.

Several different specialty drinks and new food items are coming to the McDonald’s universe soon, but you’ll have to go out-of-state to try them. On Wednesday, McDonald’s revealed more plans for its “CosMc’s” chain that will focus on beverages and smaller food items much like competitors Starbucks and Dunkin’. The first CosMc’s pilot location will open later this month in Bolingbrook, Ill, with 10 locations expected to open in Texas next year. CosMc’s will serve a variety of drinks including a churro frappe, sour cherry energy burst, sour tango lemonade,...

Thousands of Starbucks union members walked off the job on the coffee retailer's biggest promotional day of the year. Timing is everything.

Starbucks's "Red Cup Day" is one of the biggest revenue-and-PR days for the global coffee retailer. Each year, its iconic white cups get their festive makeover, and Starbucks offers customers a free, reusable red cup with certain purchases of holiday drinks. Coffee lovers – especially fans of flavours such as gingerbread, pumpkin spice and apple crisp – turn up in droves, often posting their beverages on social media.
