Ford Motor Company said its X account was ā€œbriefly compromisedā€ after the account published several anti-Israel posts on Monday.

While the posts have been deleted, screenshots show the messaging included, ā€œIsrael is a terrorist state,ā€ ā€œFree Palestine,ā€ and ā€œALL EYES ON GAZA.ā€

ā€œOur X account was briefly compromised and the previous three posts were not authorized or posted by Ford. We are investigating the issue, and apologize for any confusion caused,ā€ the company said in a statement to CBS News.

ABC News host George Stephanopoulos ignored the news about his network’s massive settlement with President-elect Donald Trump on his Sunday show.

Fox News Digital first reported on Saturday that ABC News and Stephanopoulos agreed to a settlement to avoid a costly trial over Trump’s defamation lawsuit against the network and anchor.

News of the settlement, however, failed to appear on ABC’s "This Week." Instead, Stephanopoulos focused on stories about unidentified drones over New Jersey, ongoing conflicts in Syria and Trump’s cabinet picks.

To deal with our systemically-deranged public discourse—brought about by the changes to the national information environment of the last three decades—solutions are needed that match the scale of the problem. Almost certainly including legislative solutions that might impinge on corporate power and privilege. But corporate power is not something to be underestimated, particularly in media and tech.

Donald Trump recounted his assassination attempt in vivid detail and promised the largest deportation in U.S. history during a high-profile return to the social media platform formerly known as Twitter — a conversation that was plagued by technical glitches.

ā€œIf I had not turned my head, I would not be talking to you right now — as much as I like you,ā€ Trump told X’s owner Elon Musk.

Musk, a former Trump critic, said the Republican nominee’s toughness, as demonstrated by his reaction to last month’s shooting, was critical for national security.

Former President Trump spoke Monday with Tesla founder Elon Musk on X, which Musk owns, marking Trump’s most significant return to the social media platform since he was reinstated in 2023.

Trump and Musk spoke for roughly two hours after their conversation was delayed because of technical issues that prevented many from initially joining. The two covered a range of topics, including the recent assassination attempt on Trump, his views on immigration and the economy, and the future of energy production. Musk has endorsed Trump in the 2024 campaign.

Former President Donald Trump delivered his usual bombardment of false claims – at least 20 in all – during a Monday conversation with billionaire supporter Elon Musk, which aired on Musk’s social media platform, X.

Most of the falsehoods uttered by the Republican presidential nominee were claims that have been repeatedly debunked before, some of them for years. They spanned a broad range of subjects, from immigration to the economy to foreign policy to Trump’s record in office to Vice President Kamala Harris, his Democratic opponent.

In a series of posts on X, the billionaire owner of the platform threatened legal action "so that the people of Europe can know the truth"

Elon Musk has hit out at the European Commission, claiming it tried to make an "illegal secret deal" with X over compliance with new EU rules to prevent online misinformation.

It comes as the Commission announced on Friday that Musk’s social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, had breached elements of the EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA).
