Two college students, both United States citizens from the Chicago area, were have been charged with assault while visiting Denmark on their spring break, according to a statement by Copenhagen police.

Owen Ray, a 19-year-old studying at the University of Miami in Ohio, and his unnamed friend were detained at Copenhagen Airport on April 1 over an alleged dispute with an Uber driver the night prior, Jordan Finfer, a U.S.-based attorney for Ray's family, told ABC News.

But, the long-discussed idea of congestion pricing in Boston remains just that: an idea. Even suggesting taxing drivers can get some politicians in hot water. Congestion pricing, experts say, is a tool that can help jump-start a change in how people travel by slashing traffic and climate change-causing fumes. The idea has been studied repeatedly by state and regional organizations in Massachusetts and discussed by lawmakers for years. New York City is expected to make history next month as the first US city to implement a kind of congestion pricing....

A Pennsylvania man who was barred from contacting his wife following a domestic violence incident earlier this year is now facing murder charges in her brutal stabbing death this week. Kenneth Shea, 37, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder and third-degree murder in the death of Elizabeth Shea, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office announced in a press release Thursday. According to authorities, Springfield Township Police discovered the victim at around 7:30 a.m.

Residents of up-market Sydney, Australia suburb Paddington are used to dining on the hoof but rarely is their food delivered by horseback. Locals were therefore surprised to see a man in an UberEats branded uniform deliver someone’s takeaway on a black horse on Wednesday. He was being guided through the streets by his phone, which was attached to his helmet. People stopped in the street to take pictures and videos as the horse strolled past boutiques and restaurants. A video of the moment has amassed more than 800 views on...

Uber riders in Chicago are seeing a new option in the app: a taxi. The ride-hailing company, which has long been blamed for a decline in taxi business, added the feature Thursday. But some Chicago cab drivers remain skeptical of the addition and bitter toward the company. Uber collaborated with taxi technology companies Arro and Curb Mobility, allowing about 2,600 Arro- and Curb-enabled Chicago taxi drivers to accept Uber referrals. The city has about 2,800 active cabs. ā€œWe firmly believe that Uber and taxis are better together. As we continue...

The move comes after months of back and forth with rideshare companies threatening to leave Minneapolis by May 1, the date the ordinance was to take effect. The move comes after months of back and forth with Mayor Jacob Frey and rideshare companies that threatened to leave Minneapolis by May 1, the ordinance's original effective date. The rule, as it stands now, requires rideshare companies to pay rates of $1.40 per mile and $0.51 per minute. ā€œA delay is not a fix," said a statement from Frey, who has vehemently...

Good luck if you're hoping to get an Uber or Lyft on your way home from the airport on Valentine's Day.

That's because drivers in 10 cities say they won't be working between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. local time on Wednesday. It's part of a nationwide effort among rideshare drivers trying to bring attention to problems they say they face on the apps, from low pay to having their accounts suddenly deactivated.

Gig drivers from across the country are expected to walk off the job Wednesday to demand better pay.

According to Justice for App Workers, which represents thousands of gig workers in the U.S., DoorDash, Uber and Lyft drivers from across the country will participate in an organized strike on Valentine’s Day.

ā€œWe’re sick of working 80 hours/week just to make ends meet, being constantly scared for our safety and worrying about being deactivated with the click of a button,ā€ the group said last week.

Thousands of drivers for ride-sharing platforms Uber, Lyft and food delivery app DoorDash are expected to go on strike across the United States on Valentine's Day for fair pay, drivers' groups said on Monday.

The demonstrations are set to take place about a week after Lyft said it would guarantee weekly earnings for drivers, a first in the U.S. ride-hailing industry as it looks to lure more drivers to its platform.

"We are constantly working to improve the driver experience," Lyft, which is set to report quarterly results on Tuesday, told Reuters on Monday.

Uber plans to stop running Drizly.

The move, first reported by Axios, comes roughly three years after the ride-share giant first moved to acquire the alcohol delivery platform and make it a subsidiary. The transaction was worth about $1.1 billion of stock and cash.

In a statement, Uber told FOX Business it will soon close Drizly.
