Arizona’s Senate president will urge Interior Secretary Doug Burgum to undo former President Joe Biden’s "land grab" in the Grand Canyon State that he said wrongly cordoned off nearly 1 million acres in the state for future energy exploration.

State Sen. Warren Petersen, R-Gilbert, said in a letter to President Donald Trump’s new Cabinet official – and obtained by Fox News Digital – that he will take swift and sweeping actions like undoing certain national monument designations to "Make America Energy Dominant Again."

Iran is accelerating its nuclear program by stockpiling enriched uranium — the material needed to create atomic bombs — in violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions.

A confidential report this week by the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog agency said Iran‘s stockpile has reached a level 22 times above the limit set by the 2015 nuclear accord between Tehran and world powers.

President Biden is to announce a historic national park designation for the Grand Canyon Tuesday as part of a $44 million commitment "to strengthen climate resilience across our national park system." 

The move effectively blocks future mining of uranium, the key element used to power nuclear reactors and for other medical, industrial and defense purposes. 

President Joe Biden on Tuesday will establish a new national monument protecting nearly 1 million acres of federal lands adjacent to Grand Canyon National Park from uranium mining and other development.

The site, named Baaj Nwaavjo I’tah Kukveni – Ancestral Footprints of the Grand Canyon National Monument, will span approximately 917,000 acres north and south of the park. It is Biden’s fifth national monument designation as president and will advance the administration’s goal of protecting 30% of the nation’s lands and waters by 2030.

Iran has declared it will no longer abide by any of the restrictions imposed by the 2015 nuclear deal.

In a statement it said it would no longer observe limitations on its capacity for enrichment, the level of enrichment, the stock of enriched material, or research and development.

The statement came after a meeting of the Iranian cabinet in Tehran.

Iran said Sunday that it was ending its commitment to limit enrichment of uranium as part of its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, more fallout from the U.S. strike that killed Gen. Qassem Soleimani.

President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the deal last May, renewing tensions between the two countries that reached new heights after Friday’s air strike.

According to Iranian state TV, the Iranian government said Sunday that the country would not comply with any elements of the unraveling 2015 nuclear deal with world powers, which was negotiated by the Obama administration. The announcement, which came after President Trump ordered the killing of top Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani on Thursday, raised concerns that the nation will move toward creating a nuclear weapon.
