"The View" co-host Sunny Hostin ripped into Republican co-hosts Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin on Monday for sticking with the Republican Party, at one point directly calling the latter "complicit" for working in the Donald Trump White House.

The hosts were discussing the possibility of a third party when Hostin, who is often critical of the GOP hosts on the show in spite of their staunch anti-Trump stances, wondered why they didn't just leave the Republican Party.

No one has ever accused the cast of ABC’s The View of being truly reflective or the pinnacle of civility on daytime TV. Yet on Monday’s show, in the wake of America remembering the tragedy of September 11, 2001, the cast was perplexed by the apparent loss of civility and unity in the country. One co-host even suggested that until America had a racial reckoning for slavery, we would NEVER be able to replicate that kind of unity.

22-year-old Indiana resident and legal gun carrier Elisjsha Dicken became a hero Sunday night after he drew his firearm and neutralized a mass shooter. Certainly, a hero in the eyes of any sensible person. But in the eyes of most of the cast of ABC’s The View on Tuesday, he was just as bad as the mass shooter. They smeared him and falsely claimed he “broke the law” by carrying his gun into the mall. They even denied that good guys with guns stop bad guys with guns.

"The View" host Joy Behar claimed Monday that Juneteenth, the holiday celebrating the end of slavery, was a good day to remember that Black Americans’ voting rights were being "systematically" stripped away.

Sara Haines admitted to feeling "silly" about being ignorant about the holiday until recent years and said she now felt that Juneteenth was a more important day for all Americans to celebrate than Independence Day.

A panel on The View sparked debate online after its co-host said the Republican Party isn't "in line with American values" over a wave of legislation that critics say targets LGBTQ communities.

The show's segment on Friday delved directly into controversy around Republican-backed bills that seek to restrict sexual content in schools. After wading into the divisive topic, reactions online were predictably split, with some agreeing with the take and others saying the show's panel is out of touch.

Elie Mystal, justice correspondent for The Nation, labeled the Constitution “trash” in an appearance on ABC’s The View on Friday.

Appearing on the program to promote his new book, Allow Me to Retort: A Black Guy’s Guide to the Constitution, Mystal was asked by co-host Ana Navarro-CĂĄrdenas if the Constitution “is a living document,” or a “sacred document.” Mystal responded by declaring that “it’s certainly not sacred, all right, let’s start there. The Constitution is kind of trash.”

Whoopi Goldberg returned to “The View” on Monday after a two-week suspension for remarks about the Holocaust, expressing surprise at some people who had reached out to her during her absence.

Goldberg had been criticized for comments Jan. 31 on the daytime talk show where she said the Holocaust was not about race, but rather about man’s inhumanity to others. She apologized, but ABC News President Kim Godwin told her to sit out two weeks.

ABC News suspended “The View” host Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks after she said the Holocaust was not about race, the network said Tuesday.

In a statement, Kim Godwin, president of ABC News, called Goldberg’s comments “wrong and hurtful.”

“While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments,” Godwin said. “The entire ABC News organization stand in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family and communities.”

Whoopi Goldberg was suspended from ABC’s “The View” Tuesday evening after she claimed the Holocaust was “not about race.”

“Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for her wrong and hurtful comments,” ABC News president Kim Godwin tweeted.

“While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments.”

Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended from “The View” over her on-air comment Monday that the Holocaust was “not about race.”

“Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments,” ABC News President Kim Godwin said in a statement provided Tuesday to HuffPost. “While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments. The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family and communities.”
