Tarrant County voters for Saturday’s election had to be redirected to nearby voting centers as voting machines were not working, according to city officials. In an update posted on Facebook at 1 p.m., the City of Bedford announced issues with voting machines, including the pollbooks at Pat May Center in Bedford. Hand marked paper ballots that are electronically scanned and stored for future review are the basis of a resilient and trustworthy election system, cybersecurity and election integrity experts told Pennsylvania Senate lawmakers on Monday.

They urged members of the Senate State Government Committee to move Pennsylvania away from the use of electronic ballot marking devices, such as the touchscreen voting machines used by the state’s most populous county, Philadelphia, and in Northampton County, where errors involving the machines have twice raised questions about their accuracy.

LANSING, Mich. (WILX)—An attorney facing criminal charges for illegally accessing Michigan voting machines after the 2020 election has been arrested. After a separate federal court appearance, Stefanie Lambert was arrested in Washington, D.C.. Lambert missed a hearing for her case and now has a bench warrant in Michigan. She is accused of leaking emails related to Dominion Voting Machines. It has been alleged that Dominion was the target of voting conspiracies in 2020. To counter these allegations, Dominion has responded with defamation lawsuits.

SOUTH DAKOTA (KELO) –Most of the county officials who administer elections in South Dakota don’t consider hand counting to be an effective or efficient method of tabulating votes. That’s the result of a South Dakota News Watch survey that saw input from 49 of the state’s 66 county auditors. Seven more towns voted down a proposed ban on voting machines Wednesday after a conservative group led an effort to introduce the measure at town meetings around the state. Voters in Brookline rejected the measure 158 to 30. In Newbury, the effort also failed in a 153 to 38 vote. The measure failed in Campton, too, where the vote tally is not yet available, according to the town clerk’s office.
