A sociology teacher in a posh suburb of Chicago reportedly forced students to complete a white privilege self-assessment, according to pictures of the survey posted by parents.

Lake Forest High School students enrolled in a sociology class with Ms. Cindy Collier reportedly underwent an assignment titled, “White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Backpack.” The “white privilege test” was adapted from “research on white privilege” by anti-racist activist Peggy McIntosh, according to the test. Students were told to answer “yes or no” to 25 statements.

Fox News host Martha MacCallum fired back at a BLM leader on Friday after he accused her of living from a place of “white privilege.”

During a heated segment of “The Story,” Hawk Newsome, who co-founded Black Lives Matter of Greater New York with his sister, accused MacCallum of “white privilege” as they discussed pro-police leaders in New York City. The host immediately snapped back at Newsome following the accusation, saying, “Don’t throw that at me.”

A Washington state public high school required its teachers in 2018 to undergo mandatory training in White, heterosexual male privilege.

The suburban Tumwater School District, southwest of Tacoma, hired a consultant to help the predominantly White high school faculty “examine our privilege” and learn about microaggressions at a two-hour, in-service session, according to a teacher who anonymously sent materials to the conservative advocacy group Parents Defending Education (PDE) on Aug. 4.

I am a fortunate, first-generation South Asian born and raised in Texas. My parents made a conscious decision to ensure I grow up outside of the Asian community in Houston, Texas, and somehow we ended up in a conservative town called Tomball, Texas. They wanted me to have an unbiased childhood where I learned what it is to be an “American,” since their child was now born to a country which they had viewed as the diverse and open-hearted “Land of the Free.”

Members of the Michigan militia said they won't allow police to arrest 77-year-old Karl Manke who opened his Owosso barbershop last week in defiance of Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's coronavirus shutdown order, WEYI-TV reported.

Many people enjoy invoking race as an explanation for all sorts of things. It is a shared pastime for both the far-left and the far-right. The media expend vast sums of money and effort to ensure we don’t escape discussions about race as something that is or should be important. This vocal minority of political extremists and news broadcasters has directed our attention away from more powerful causal explanations that underlie group outcomes. Perverse incentives for these two groups have made race a more a prominent feature of our lives.

Comedian-turned-political activist Chelsea Handler will headline a Black Lives Matter fundraiser later this month in Los Angeles, where donors and attendees will screen her new Netflix documentary, “Hello, Privilege. It’s Me, Chelsea,” according to event organizers.

The streaming service summarizes the 64-minute film as Handler exploring “how white privilege impacts American culture – and the ways it’s benefited her own life and career.”

The campaign to silence those who question progressive ideas about race and privilege requires frequent rebranding. Labels such as “far-right” and “alt-right,” which once might have served to strip a person of his or her livelihood and personal reputation, have become such common terms of abuse that they’ve effectively become meaningless. The words “white nationalist” once were used to describe someone who actually supported the creation of a white ethnostate.
