Stefanie Lambert, a Michigan-based lawyer, was charged Thursday with illegally accessing and tampering with voting machines. Lambert was a prominent advocate of the conspiracy theories that suggested former President Donald Trump won the 2020 presidential election. The prosecution charges that Lambert was one of nine people involved in a plot to take five vote tabulating machines in order to break into them. Matthew Deperno, the former Republican candidate for Michigan attorney general, and Daire Rendon, a former state representative, were also arraigned in the case recently.

LANSING, Mich. (AP) -- A Michigan attorney involved in multiple efforts around the country to overturn the 2020 election in support of former President Donald Trump has been charged in connection with accessing and tampering with voting machines in Michigan, prosecutors announced Thursday. The charges against Stefanie Lambert come days after Matthew DePerno, a Republican lawyer whom Trump endorsed in an unsuccessful run for Michigan attorney general last year, and former GOP state Rep. Daire Rendon were arraigned in connection with the case. Lambert, DePerno, and Rendon were named by...

A Michigan attorney involved in multiple efforts around the country to overturn the 2020 election in support of former President Donald Trump has been charged in connection with accessing and tampering with voting machines in Michigan, prosecutors announced Thursday. The charges against Stefanie Lambert come days after Matthew DePerno, a Republican lawyer whom Trump endorsed in an unsuccessful run for Michigan attorney general last year, and former GOP state Rep. Daire Rendon were arraigned in connection with the case.

Special Prosecutor D.J. Hilson announced on Thursday that Stefanie Lambert Junttila would face charges alongside Republicans Matt DePerno and Daire Rendon for allegedly attempting to access and tamper with voting tabulators. Hilson, who serves as the Muskegon County prosecutor, said in a statement that Lambert Junttila would be the final person charged in this investigation. The office of Attorney General in August requested a special prosecutor for the case to avoid a conflict of interest.

The charges come as Donald Trump himself faces a court hearing on criminal charges for 2020 election interference. A lawyer who supported Donald Trump’s attempts to overturn the 2020 United States presidential election results was charged on Thursday with illegally accessing voting machines in Michigan. The announcement came just hours before the former president was due to appear in a Washington, DC, court on criminal charges that he conspired to cling to power. Stefanie Lambert Junttila, who along with other Trump allies tried to reverse Trump’s defeat to Democratic President...

Stefanie Lambert Junttila is now the third person to be charged for an alleged role in a plot to obtain and tamper with voting machines in the aftermath of the 2020 election, Oakland County Circuit Court details revealed Thursday. She is the final person to be arraigned for their role in the plot, according to a statement released Thursday by Muskegon County Prosecutor DJ Hilson, who is serving as special prosecutor to this case. Ex-state Rep. Daire Rendon and Matt DePerno, a 2022 Republican attorney general candidate, were previously indicted...
