Did Ukraine start the war with Russia? Is DOGE capable of cutting two trillion dollars from the Federal budget? Did the US send $50 million in condoms to Gaza? Were the January 6 insurrectionists traitors or patriots? The thunderous second Trump administration has introduced as much uncertainty as the last. And that’s on top of the enduring claims and counter-claims about the reality of climate change, the results of the 2020 election, and the matter of gender and sexuality.

A federal jury in Manhattan on Tuesday found the New York Times (NYT.N), opens new tab not liable for allegedly defaming Sarah Palin in a 2017 editorial about gun control, dealing the former Republican U.S. vice presidential candidate a second loss at trial.

The verdict came in a retrial of Palin's case, after a federal appeals court threw out a 2022 verdict in the Times' favor.

A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to restore all jobs and funding for the Voice of America and other US-backed news outlets, ruling that efforts to dismantle it violated the law and Constitution.

Over 1,300 VOA employees, including about 1,000 journalists, were placed on leave following President Donald Trump's order. The White House has accused the broadcaster of being "anti-Trump" and "radical".

VOA, still primarily a radio service, was set up during World War II to counter Nazi propaganda, and has become a major global media broadcaster.

Since its creation nearly 60 years ago, CBS’ ā€œ60 Minutesā€ has had only three executive producers. Now, one of them is leaving the award-winning show.

The top producer of the long-running Sunday news program, Bill Owens, revealed in an internal memo obtained by The New York Times that he’s stepping down. The memo cited the loss of the ability to ā€œmake independent decisionsā€ as the reason for his departure.

The longtime head of CBS' 60 Minutes resigned Tuesday, as the network's parent company contemplates a settlement with President Trump over his lawsuit focusing on an interview the show did with then-Vice President Kamala Harris last fall.

In an emotionally charged meeting Tuesday afternoon, and again in a note to staff released publicly shortly after, the show's executive producer, Bill Owens said he was departing after 37 years with CBS News following months of heavy-handed treatment of the show by corporate leaders.

As she left the James S. Brady Briefing Room in early April, Natalie Winters, the newly minted White House correspondent for Steve Bannon’s War Room, tried to describe the relationship between the White House press corps’ old guard and the ā€œnew conservative mediaā€ who’ve entered the briefing room in the early days of the second Trump administration.

The Easter season can remind people of classic Hollywood movies with religious themes. Every year, ABC still airs The Ten Commandments. People might break out The Passion of the Christ from 2004, or head to the theater to see The King of Kings or The Chosen: Last Supper, building on that streaming TV series on the life and ministry of Jesus.
