White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre faced renewed backlash from reporters and Twitter users alike after yelling at the press pool during Tuesday’s conference.

After outgoing White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci spoke about the administration’s vaccine efforts, Daily Caller White House correspondent Diana Glebova attempted to ask a question regarding investigations into the origin of the coronavirus. Instead of answering, Jean-Pierre rebuked Glebova for being "disrespectful."

Dr Anthony Fauci, America’s top infectious disease expert, has warned against prematurely declaring victory over the pandemic, not only due to short-term needs but because long Covid represents an ā€œinsidiousā€ public health emergency for millions of people.

In an interview with the Guardian, Fauci urged US Congress to avoid complacency and resume funding to combat the virus as well as long Covid, a chronic and prolonged illness that continues to elude scientists and healthcare providers.

The data is clear: long Covid is devastating people’s lives and livelihoods

ā€œDr. Anthony Fauci, the top U.S. infectious disease official who became the face of America's COVID-19 pandemic response under Presidents Donald Trump and Joe Biden, announced on Monday he is stepping down in December after 54 years of public service.ā€ (Reuters)

The left praises Fauci for his long-term contributions to public health.

The right criticizes Fauci for his misleading public statements about Covid.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has announced that in December he will step down from his positions as chief medical adviser to President Joe Biden and as head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and its laboratory of immunoregulation.

Fauci has worked for the National Institutes of Health since 1968 and has been the director of NIAID since 1984. In that time, he has advised seven U.S. presidents on infectious disease threats such as HIV and AIDS; the West Nile, Ebola and Zika viruses; and more.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, who plans to retire at the end of the year, told MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Monday night that we are seeing an increased threat from new and insurgent viruses, such as monkeypox, polio, SARS, Zika and others.

"There are probably a number of complex reasons why that's the case," he said.

"If you look at the outbreaks that you just enumerated a moment ago, it really follows a pattern that we've known for some time, that about 70 percent to 75 percent of all the new emerging infectious diseases are zoonotic. Namely, they jump from an animal species to a human.

On the heels of disgraced Doctor Anthony Fauci’s announcement that he will be leaving his job as a government bureaucrat after forty years on the government dole, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow rewarded him with a fawning interview on her primetime show.

Maddow couldn’t contain herself. Before Fauci was even brought on, she melted with praise for Fauci. ā€œDr. Anthony Fauci is a singular figure in American history and in American public service. There has never been anyone else like him, and there never will be againā€ Maddow proclaimed.

Dr Anthony Fauci, an infectious disease expert who is the chief medical adviser to U.S. President Joe Biden, will retire by the end of Biden's term, he told Politico in an interview on Monday.

Fauci, 81, has been the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 1984 and became the face of the U.S. government's efforts to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. (https://politi.co/3ch9zJL)

He served on the White House coronavirus task force under former President Donald Trump.
