Microsoft says it's investigating an issue that is keeping customers worldwide from connecting to its Microsoft 365 services and its cloud platform Azure.

According to Downdetector, an online outage tracker, the number of reports related to Microsoft services surged to more than 200 just before 9 a.m. ET. Customers reported issues with Microsoft logins, the company's Outlook platform and its website.

The Maricopa County Elections Department announced Friday that some of its voting locations are experiencing outages because of the worldwide tech outage.

"Due to the global tech outage, Maricopa County Elections is also experiencing an outage at some voting locations," the county department wrote in a post on X Friday morning. "Please visit Locations.Maricopa.Vote for the most up-to-date information about locations that are open and their hours of operations."

Early voting for Arizona's July 30th primary election began on July 3rd.

McDonald’s suffered a system failure on Friday that left many customers in many parts of the world unable to order food.

A spokesperson for the Australian unit of the fast food chain reportedly said it was working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. McDonald’s Japan took to social media site X to say that operations at stores nationwide were temporarily suspended.

ā€œWe apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers,ā€ it said.

After all flights in the U.S. were grounded early Wednesday morning over a system failure, the Federal Aviation Administration said it traced the issue back to a ā€œdamaged database file.ā€

ā€œThe FAA is continuing a thorough review to determine the root cause of the Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system outage,ā€ the FAA said in a statement Wednesday night. ā€œOur preliminary work has traced the outage to a damaged database file.ā€

The Notice to Air Missions system provides safety information to flight crews.

The FAA announced shortly before 9 am ET that it would allow normal air traffic operations to resume, following an outage of its Notice to Air Missions System, which sends notifications to pilots about flight restrictions, hazards and broken equipment.

The latest: Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg confirmed on Twitter that the "safety system affected by the overnight outage is fully restored" and that efforts were underway to determine what caused the outage.

Flights are being delayed at multiple locations across the United States after a computer outage at the Federal Aviation Administration.

At around 6:30 Eastern, there were 760 delays within, into or out of the United, according to the flight tracking website FlightAware.

The agency said in a tweet that it was working on restoring its Notice to Air Missions System.

More than 1,000 flight delays were reported across the U.S. Wednesday morning after a key FAA computer system failed.

The latest: The FAA said that it had ordered a pause on domestic flight departures until at least 9 a.m. ET as it worked to restore its Notice to Air Missions System, which sends notifications to pilots about flight restrictions, hazards and broken equipment.

The delays would allow it "to validate the integrity of flight and safety information," it said.

The Federal Aviation Administration is pausing all domestic flight departures until 9 a.m. ET after a technology outage reported overnight.

The FAA's system for alerting pilots and airports of real-time hazards, called NOTAM (Notice to Air Missions), went dark around 3:28 a.m. ET.

"THE FAA is experiencing an outage that is impacting the update of NOTAMS. All flights are unable to be released at this time," the FAA said in an advisory announcing the issue.
