Three New York federal prosecutors have resigned and said the Department of Justice is to blame. The prosecutors worked on the government’s criminal case against New York Mayor Eric Adams. They said the DOJ tried to coerce them to admit they were in the wrong to resist when the case against Adams was dropped, according to Politico.

The acting attorney general on Monday fired more than a dozen prosecutors who worked on the two criminal investigations into Donald J. Trump for the special counsel Jack Smith, saying they could not be trusted to ā€œfaithfully implementā€ the president’s agenda, a Justice Department spokesman said.

Justice Department veterans called the firings an egregious violation of well-established laws meant to preserve the integrity and professionalism of government agencies.

Michael Cohen - the prosecution's final witness in Donald Trump's criminal trial - faces further cross-examination on Monday before lawyers set out Mr Trump's defence.

For four weeks, Mr Trump has sat quietly in a New York courtroom while state prosecutors have laid out the first-ever criminal case against a former US president.

Lawyers from the Manhattan District Attorney's Office have called on a cast of blockbuster witnesses and produced dozens of surreptitiously recorded conversations and documents to help corroborate their case.

The 85-year-old mother of a disabled son committed a "justifiable homicide" in Idaho when she shot an armed burglar who snuck into her home and threatened to "kill her multiple times," a county prosecutor said. Christine Jenneiahn presented "one of the most heroic acts of self-preservation" that Bingham County prosecutor Ryan Jolley has ever heard of when she shot and killed 39-year-old Derek Condon, according to an incident review written Tuesday. The confrontation occurred around 2 a.m. on March 13, when Condon woke Jenneiahn from her sleep at her home...

The tide is turning in lawless progressive cities after leftist radicals in city halls have pushed disastrous social justice reforms and defunded the police that have sparked crime wave after crime wave.

According to one Philadelphia Police Department officer, the mayor, the commissioner, and the governor are no longer tolerating the soaring thefts and out-of-control crime that have transformed some parts of the metro area into third-world-like conditions.

An Arizona prosecutor says she will keep a man suspected in the bludgeoning of a woman in a New York City hotel this month in custody in her state, saying she doesn’t trust the Manhattan district attorney to handle the case properly.

Rachel Mitchell, the Maricopa County prosecutor, said Wednesday that she and her team would not cooperate in extraditing the man, Raad Almansoori.

A Republican prosecutor in Arizona is refusing to extradite a man wanted for murder in New York City, claiming Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s lenient bail policies would put others at risk, only weeks after Bragg’s office faced criticism for releasing suspects accused of attacking a police officer.

Raad Almansoori, a 26-year-old suspected of murdering a woman in a Manhattan hotel room on February 8, was arrested by police in Surprise, Arizona, on Sunday after stabbing one woman in a McDonalds and another while trying to steal her car on the road.
