Evangelist Franklin Graham shared a message from the Bible about God's love and the true meaning of Christmas with more than 14,000 people in Laos over the weekend. 

Graham, in partnership with the Lao Evangelical Church, brought the Christmas of Love Festival to the Saint Phila Convention Hall in Vientiane, giving believers the opportunity to gather together for the first time publicly to lift up the name of Jesus. 

"If you can't remember anything else, you remember tonight: God loves you," Graham told the crowd.

In his speech capping off the Republican National Convention as he accepted the party’s nomination for a third consecutive election, Trump recounted Thursday night his attempted assassination five days earlier at a Pennsylvania rally.

“I’m not supposed to be here tonight,” he told the crowd at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

Franklin Graham is preaching in Eagle Pass Wednesday night, his 4th stop in a 10-city evangelistic tour along the southern border. Graham says he's not talking politics, he's sharing the Good News with a region that is hurting.

"I'm not going to the border because it's an election year," he said in advance of the tour. "We're going because it's a crisis and it is one that is continuing to grow."

The God Loves You Frontera Tour began in Brownsville, Texas on Feb. 24 and finishes on the border in Chula Vista, California March 9.
