ESPN host Stephen A. Smith challenged Whoopi Goldberg during â€œThe View” on Tuesday over the Democratic Party’s messaging problem after the liberal host attempted to defend the messaging by comparing it to President Donald Trump.

“If you think about him being impeached twice, 34 felony convictions, and they still elected him president, it’s not about him winning. It was an indictment against the Democratic Party and what the Democratic Party was offering to American citizens.

MSNBC is dramatically shaking up its lineup — and the shocking changes will result in the end of Joy Reid’s decade-long tenure at the network.

On Sunday, Variety and The New York Times reported that Reid’s 7 p.m. weeknight show, The ReidOut, is being canceled and will air its final episode this week. Mediaite has confirmed, through a source familiar with the changes at MSNBC, that Reid will be leaving the network completely as a result. She has been a host with MSNBC since 2014, and has piloted The ReidOut since 2020.

Fox News Channel was already crushing its cable news competition before receiving a Trump bump.

The right-tilting television outlet is flourishing after the November elections, lapping its left-of-center rivals and notching ratings milestones as its viewers try to keep up with President Trump’s feverish pace.

“It is probably beyond the wildest dreams of anyone inside Fox News just how much they have surged in terms of both raw ratings and market share,” said Curtis Houck, managing editor of the conservative Media Research Center’s Newsbusters.

This year’s Super Bowl commercials went for easy laughs and nostalgia, largely steering clear of controversy and leaving the surprises on the football field, where the Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Kansas City Chiefs.

Eugene Levy’s eyebrows flew off and buzzed around after he ate some Little Caesars. Four old ladies went on a joy ride in a commercial for WeatherTech, while sloths had a case of the Mondays in an ad for Coors Light. And British singer Seal became an actual seal, sad that he couldn’t hold Mountain Dew with his flippers.

Ben Affleck's 2025 Super Bowl commercial return received mixed reviews.

British singer Seal and "Fast & Furious" star Vin Diesel also received varied responses to their respective Super Bowl ads.

For his part, Affleck brought back the DunKings for Super Bowl LIX, but he was missing Matt Damon and Tom Brady. Instead, Affleck was joined by his brother, Casey Affleck, and former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

CNN journalists avoided mentioning the most sordid elements of President Donald Trump’s past—including his felony conviction and two impeachments—during inauguration day broadcasts after the network’s top boss told them to show some deference to the most powerful person on earth.

That’s according to a report in media news publication Status, authored by the well-sourced erstwhile CNN media reporter Oliver Darcy.

Ratings-challenged CNN will reportedly move veteran anchor Wolf Blitzer to a new slot in the mornings as part of a wider reshuffle by the embattled cable news pioneer’s boss Mark Thompson.

The 76-year-old Blitzer, one of the network’s longest-tenured anchors and current host of “The Situation Room” at 6 p.m., will be teamed with Pamela Brown on a new morning show, sources told Status newsletter on Thursday.

The shakeup could also include frequent Donald Trump antagonist Jim Acosta being bounced as anchor of “CNN Newsroom” at 10 a.m., the sources said.
