President Trump was darn right to revoke the security clearance of the 51 Spies Who Lied — the former intel officials who misled the nation by falsely dismissing The Post’s 2020 scoop on Hunter Biden’s laptop as a ā€œRussian information operation.ā€

These officials — James Clapper, John Brennan, Leon Panetta, Mike Morell and others — simply cannot be trusted with access to classified government info.

Former national security adviser and U.N. Ambassador John Bolton said that any guilty verdict rendered to former President Donald Trump could prove "fatal" to him winning in 2024, adding that even "MAGA Trumpers" wouldn't have an appetite for voting for a convicted felon.

Bolton made the comments in an interview with CNN on Monday. Bolton said that indictments are one thing to stir up Trump's base, but a conviction could prove different.

Twenty years after the disastrous American invasion of Iraq, one of the war's chief architects says the Bush administration's biggest error was not making the conflict an even bloodier, costlier catastrophe.

An Iranian man has been charged by the US with plotting to kill former Trump National Security Advisor John Bolton.

US officials said Shahram Poursafi, a member of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRG), was in Iran and wanted over the alleged plot.

They said Mr Poursafi was likely seeking revenge for the US strike that killed Qasem Soleimani, Iran's most powerful military commander.

Iran dismissed the charges it said came from a "failed policy of Iranophobia".

Soleimani spearheaded Iranian military operations in the Middle East.

A member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was charged in a plot to murder former national security adviser John Bolton, the Department of Justice announced Wednesday.

Shahram Poursafi, 45, of Tehran, is accused of attempting to arrange Bolton’s assassination likely in retaliation for the killing of Iranian Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in January 2020. Poursafi, who also goes by Mehdi Rezayi, attempted to pay $300,000 to individuals in the United States to carry out the killing in Washington or Maryland, the Justice Department said.

The Justice Department is investigating whether former national security adviser John Bolton illegally disclosed classified information in his book about his tenure in the White House, according to reports.

Federal prosecutors issued grand jury subpoenas to Bolton’s publisher and his book agent, according to The Wall Street Journal and New York Times.

According to The Journal, federal prosecutors subpoenaed Simon & Schuster and Javelin for all communications with Bolton.

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton and President Trump did not part ways friends, let alone on good terms. After his ouster, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations wrote a damning book about his time in the White House, disparaging the president as ignorant, incompetent, and willing to pander to dictators. He also claimed the impeachment inquiry should’ve looked at more events than just Ukraine. After the book’s release, Trump blasted him as a ā€œwashed up Creepster…who should be in jailā€ because the memoir contained classified information.
