Democrats and Republicans in a bitterly divided Congress can agree on one thing: the US needs more nuclear to power America’s rapidly growing energy appetite — and fast.

The Senate overwhelmingly approved a major bill Tuesday night to make it easier, cheaper and faster to permit and build new nuclear reactors. The ADVANCE Act, which passed with just two senators voting no, now heads to Biden’s desk for signing, which he is expected to do.

The ā€˜great transition’ to renewable energy has so far been an expensive policy belly flop. The Biden administration has spent tens of billions of dollars on green energy, yet last year America and the world used record amounts of fossil fuels. That would seem to be prima facie evidence that this ā€œgreat transitionā€ to renewable energy has so far been an expensive policy belly flop. The evidence is everywhere. Americans aren’t buying electric vehicles any more than they were before President Biden was elected. Even with record federal subsidies, car...

The Biden administration is sending $900 million in rebates to 530 school districts across the country to replace diesel buses with electric school buses.

The administration says the rebates will help buy more than 3,400 such buses, 92% of which will be electric. It's something the Environmental Protection Agency claims will combat asthma and speed up the move to zero emission vehicles. So far, the EPA has awarded close to $3 billion for 8,500 school bus replacements.

The Biden administration announced Thursday it will award nearly $900 million for clean energy school buses to hundreds of school districts across the country.

Through the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 2023 Clean School Bus Program rebate competition, the agency selected more than 500 school districts to receiving the funding to replace diesel fueled school buses.

The Biden administration is dispersing nearly $900 million dollars in federal grants for school districts nationwide to decarbonize their bus fleets, despite child illiteracy continuing to plague children in the U.S. education system.

On Wednesday, the White House unveiled nearly $900 million in awards to 530 school districts to replace thousands of aging, gas-fueled school buses with "cleaner" electric models.

Scientists from the University of Pittsburgh have discovered a large amount of lithium located in Pennsylvania, saying it could eventually supply more than a third of America’s needs for the mineral.

Researcher and study lead author Justin Mackey told CBS Pittsburgh in an article published Wednesday that the wastewaters of the Marcellus Shale gas wells could cover ā€œsomewhere between 30 and 40 percent of the current U.S. national demand.ā€

Heat pump installation, benefiting from government subsidies, is fueling clean energy job growth in Maine, according to a state report released Wednesday. The study commissioned by the Governor’s Energy Office shows that Maine’s ā€œclean energy economyā€ reached 15,000 jobs at the end of 2022, or about 2.3% of the state’s workforce of 656,400. Its increase was greater than the economy generally: Since 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, employment in Maine rose 1%, while clean energy employment increased by nearly 3%. The energy efficiency sector is the largest among five categories,...
