Peter Strzok, Agent Who Sent Anti-Trump Text Messages, Fired by FBI

Peter Strzok, the FBI agent who exchanged anti-Trump text messages with his co-worker girlfriend, was fired, his lawyer said Monday.

The FBI fired embattled agent Peter Strzok this past Friday reportedly amid accusations of improper conduct by Strzok and repeated attacks by President Donald Trump on the bureau and the Justice Department over the handling of the Russia investigation.

FBI official Peter Strzok, who played a lead role in both the Russian meddling and Hillary Clinton email probes but became a political lightning rod after the revelation of anti-Trump text messages, has been fired.
