Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar’s primary opponent accused the Minnesota Democratic congresswoman Thursday of ā€œdeceptionā€ about her husband’s shady business dealings.

Don Samuels, a former member of the Minneapolis City Council who is running to unseat Omar in the 5th Congressional District, held a press conference to highlight a Minnesota Reformer report on the legal troubles of Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, related to ventures involving a California winery and South Dakota marijuana growers.

A Houston-area high school’s yearbook drew outrage for publishing a one-sided account of the Israel-Hamas War that downplays the brutal Oct. 7 attack on Israeli civilians, saying that ā€œwhat happened happened.ā€ Michael Niggli, principal of Bellaire High School, responded to the criticism by agreeing to provide a revised yearbook to any student who requests one, acknowledging that ā€œsome in our community were deeply distressed by the yearbook article.ā€ He didn’t say whether any students would be punished. He also indicated that the pro-Palestinian page may not have been viewed by...

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is being hit with a censure resolution on Tuesday after she referred to some Jewish students as "pro-genocide" during a recent visit to Columbia University.

Rep. Don Bacon, R-Neb., is introducing the resolution against Omar on Tuesday, a source familiar with his plans told Fox News Digital.

The New York City Ivy League school has been the flashpoint for nationwide demonstrations on college campuses, where students have set up tent encampments to protest their universities' financial ties to pro-Israel companies.

Isra Hirsi, the daughter of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), was suspended from Barnard College this week over her participation in a pro-Palestinian protest.

Hirsi, a junior at Barnard, the women’s college connected to Columbia University, is an organizer with Apartheid Divest, a student coalition that has been pressing the university to cut ties with companies that support Israel. The group had set up an encampment at the university.

Hirsi said she was one of three students who were suspended.

Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-Minn.) daughter Isra Hirsi announced Thursday she had been suspended from college after taking part in an unauthorized pro-Palestine protest on campus.

ā€œi’m an organizer with CU Apartheid Divest @ColumbiaSJP, in my 3 years at @BarnardCollege i have never been reprimanded or received any disciplinary warnings,ā€ Hirsi said on social platform X.

ā€œi just received notice that i am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians facing a genocide,ā€ she added.

U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., praised her daughter Friday, a day after the Ivy League college student was arrested in New York City while participating in an anti-Israel protest.

"I am enormously proud of my daughter @israhirsi," Omar wrote on X.

"She has always led with courage and compassion, from organizing a statewide school walk out on the 20th anniversary of Columbine at the age of 15, to leading the biggest youth climate rally at our nation’s Capitol at 16, and now pushing her school to stand against genocide.

NYPD officers arrested more than 100 Columbia University students Thursday after groups protesting the war in Gaza refused to take down a two-day encampment zone.

Hundreds of cops flooded the campus in the early afternoon with buses on standby to transport those arrested. Students continued to chant on the lawn throughout the day, and began setting up new tents some yards away.

More than 100 protesters were cuffed and hauled away from Columbia University when NYPD cops in riot gear swarmed the campus Thursday after the president made the bombshell decision to clear a large anti-Israel protest encampment.

Scores of protesters – including some who had to be carried away — were quickly filed onto waiting NYPD corrections buses.

A huge crowd of other demonstrators then defiantly swarmed to the police vehicles to temporarily block them from leaving the scene.

Officers with the New York Police Department (NYPD) were clad in riot gear Thursday during a pro-Palestinian demonstration at Columbia University, where protesters set up an encampment of dozens of tents on campus.

Photos circulating on social media and various media outlets showed dozens of police officers in body armor and face shields lined up around Columbia University Thursday afternoon. Officers arrested dozens of demonstrators Thursday, The New York Times reported. NYPD declined to provide any details on the arrests as the situation is ongoing.

Dozens of pro-Palestinian protesters at Columbia University were arrested Thursday afternoon and an on-campus tent encampment was removed after the school's president gave the New York Police Department the green light to clear the protesters.

Columbia President Nemat "Minouche" Shafik announced in a letter to the Columbia community Thursday that she has authorized the New York Police Department to clear demonstrators from campus, writing, "This morning, I had to make a decision that I hoped would never be necessary."
