"The ABCs of COVID Vaccines," hosted by CNN's Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta and journalist Erica Hill, opened with 5-year-old monster Rosita excitedly telling her friends how she just got her first dose of the COVID vaccine.

This led to scripted questions from 6-year-old Big Bird, whose Granny Bird wants him to get the shot.

It happened again because of course it happened again. The latest example of COVID hypocrisy, if you have enough hard-drive space to keep track, is a viral video of President Biden traipsing through a ritzy DC eatery with no mask, in defiance of the city’s strict rules. In Chicago, Mayor Lori Lightfoot was photographed at a basketball game, the only bare face in a sea of muzzled fans.

This kind of thing has been so common that it is hard to stay outraged, even though we should.

On Thursday, the Florida Board of Education voted to sanction eight school districts, all of which the Board said implemented mask mandates but wouldn’t let parents opt their children out.

The Board of Education deemed that Alachua, Brevard, Broward, Duval, Leon, Miami-Dade, Orange and Palm Beach counties have not complied with the emergency rule issued by the Florida Department of Health on September 22, which stated:

A Florida school district began collecting federal funding on Thursday after Florida’s government withheld state funding to punish the school for implementing a mask mandate and other precautions aimed at reducing the spread of Covid-19.

Florida students do not have to quarantine after they are exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, leaving the decision up to individual families.

Dr. Joseph Ladapo, the newly-appointed surgeon general for Florida, signed new protocols for the state that allows parents to decide whether their children should quarantine after COVID-19 exposure or stay in school, according to NPR.

Ladapo eliminated mandates that required students to quarantine for four days after they were exposed.

Like many Americans, I have grown tired of anti-vaxxer bravado.

Suddenly, the people who bragged they’d reject Covid-19 vaccines at all costs — and in the name of so-called liberty — are now beside themselves because they can’t eat indoors at their favorite salad bar unvaccinated. Evidently, the revolution is prepared for many things, but eating stale croutons on a park bench is a bridge too far.

Republican Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson is requesting information about the Biden administration’s vaccine guidance for individuals who have received some form of immunity from COVID-19 via prior infection.

“This administration’s decision to disregard the effectiveness of natural immunity and demand vaccination ignores current data and is an assault on all Americans’ civil liberties,” he wrote to three top public health officials in a Thursday letter, obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller.

President Joe Biden is signaling that he is not concerned about potential challenges to his COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

On Thursday, a reporter asked the president what his message was to people who are “are calling your vaccine requirements an overreach, who are threatening to challenge it in court.”

“Have at it,” Biden responded. “I am so disappointed that particularly some of the Republican governors have been so cavalier with the health of these kids, so cavalier with the health of their communities. We’re playing for real here. This isn’t a game.”
