One of the most unbelievable things in the 21st century is that there was a period in time when the media actually seemed to care about its viewers. The reporting was comparatively more accurate and unafraid to challenge or question powerful people.

Political polarization is a massive and complicated issue, one which can be explained, and combatted, through a number of different approaches. The One America Movement utilizes a unique approach to addressing polarization in the United States. It draws from psychology and social science, recruiting local religious leaders and grassroots organizers. It trains religious leaders and helps facilitate collaborative activities that can bring groups together to reduce political polarization.

Today, we hold journalists and media outlets accountable to journalistic code of ethics and a set of standards, which include truth, transparency, and objectivity. When journalism strays from objective fact, the result is biased news. And though it takes different forms in the digital age, this media bias is far from new.
