
(Portland, OR) -- Teachers in the Portland Public Schools district are approving a new contract following a three-week-long strike. The Portland Association of Teachers voted in favor of ratifying the new contract yesterday evening. The teachers union says 95-percent of its members voted to approve the contract. The school board followed suit later last night and voted unanimously to approve the agreement.
