The Lincoln Stars defeated Sioux City on Friday at the Ice Box, and then got some help from Cedar Rapids against Des Moines to secure a USHL playoff berth. Entering Friday, there were up to 10 different scenarios in which the Stars could either make or miss the playoffs with two regular-season games left. Lincoln took the most direct path, winning its game 2-1 and getting the result it needed in Cedar Rapids, where the RoughRiders beat the Buccaneers 7-4.
