Individual Analyses of Bias in Reuters Articles
In addition to conducting full-scale reviews of media outlets for overall bias — using methodologies such as Blind Bias Surveys and Editorial Reviews — AllSides sometimes evaluates the bias of an individual news article for bias.
The AllSides editorial team has detected common types of media bias in some individual Reuters articles, including word choice bias, bias by placement, slant, and spin. Read our analysis of each story on the AllSides Perspectives blog:
Seven nominees to the U.S. Sentencing Commission promised on Wednesday to prioritize implementing a major 2018 criminal justice reform law, a task the hobbled panel had been unable to accomplish since losing its quorum shortly after its enactment.

The Mississippi judge is one of four Democratic nominees and three Republican picks that President Joe Biden put forward in May to join the seven-member, bipartisan commission, which lost its quorum in January 2019.
