WASHINGTON (AP) — Democrats who reviewed a secret whistleblower complaint involving President Donald Trump Wednesday called it “deeply disturbing” and said it gives them new leads to pursue as they consider impeachment.

The House Intelligence Committee on Thursday released the declassified whistleblower complaint at the center of a standoff between the White House and Congress that led to a formal impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump.

The complaint, which the administration initially withheld from Congress, was declassified with minimal redactions, and relates to Trump's July phone call with the president of Ukraine in which he asked his foreign counterpart to look into why that country's top prosecutor apparently had ended an investigation of the business dealings of Joe Biden’s son.

The whistleblower complaint that focused on President Donald Trump’s request of Ukraine’s government to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden also alleges White House officials moved the records of some of Trump’s communications with foreign officials onto a separate computer network, according to a published report.

The Washington Post, citing a person who has read the complaint, reported the whistleblower alleged officials moved communications from Trump’s July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky onto a different network.
