A 25-year-old man from the island nation of Jamaica was shot to death in Jamaica, Queens, police said Wednesday.

Kardell Lester died at Jamaica Hospital Monday, two days after he was shot. He lived in Kingston, Jamaica, according to cops.

A gunman opened fire, striking Lester in the head about 1:40 a.m. Saturday on Linden Blvd. near 200th St., officials said

The killer has not been caught.

An Oklahoma family is still searching for answers nearly a year later for Noah Presgrove, who was found naked and dead along a rural highway on Labor Day. Two recent inmate deaths at Tampa Bay jails are under investigation, but police say both were related to medical issues. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said a man died Tuesday while in custody at the Falkenburg Road Jail. Deputies conducting a welfare check on Levitacus Cymande Riggins, 50, found him unresponsive in his cell, according to a news release. Deputies and medical staff tried lifesaving measures, but Riggins died. Chatham County Sheriff’s investigators are trying to find out what happened to a man found dead May 2 at Goldston Recreational Park. Deputies responded to the scene after getting a report about a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the park on Goldston Glendon Road in Goldston, according to a news release. They found the body of a man later identified as Steve Aaron Ammons, 42, of Green Mountain. Green Mountain is located north of Asheville, over 200 miles from Goldston. An argument at a Queens bodega sparked a stabbing early Tuesday, with the attacker running from the scene as the victim bled to death, police said.

The fatal confrontation sparked off about 12:35 a.m. at the bodega on Queens Blvd near 64th Road in Rego Park.

Police said the victim, believed to be at least in his 20s, was stabbed by a man during the argument.

The victim was taken to a local hospital but could not be saved. Cops were working to identify him.
