The Department of Justice (DOJ) pushed back against the release of audio recordings of President Biden’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur, citing concerns that ā€œdeep fakesā€ could emerge.

DOJ argued, in a Friday night filing, that if the audio were released, it could end up being altered and passed off as an ā€œauthenticā€ recording which would be shared widely.

With its athletes barred from competing in the Summer Olympics under the country’s flag, Russia has turned its fury on the Games and this year’s host, Paris.

Russian propagandists have created an hourlong documentary, spoofed news reports and even mimicked French and American intelligence agencies to issue fake warnings urging people to avoid the Games, according to a report released on Sunday by Microsoft.

Biden administration ā€œdisinformation czarā€ Nina Jankowicz is back — and still out to ā€œprotectā€ the public from facts the left doesn’t like, this time from outside the government.

Jankowicz, you may recall, got tapped to run the ā€œDisinformation Governance Boardā€ in 2022, until that Orwellian agency within the Department of Homeland Security rightly shut down in the face of pushback against a de facto government censorship operation.

Donald Trump supporters have been creating and sharing AI-generated fake images of black voters to encourage African Americans to vote Republican.

BBC Panorama discovered dozens of deepfakes portraying black people as supporting the former president.

Mr Trump has openly courted black voters, who were key to Joe Biden's election win in 2020.

But there's no evidence directly linking these images to Mr Trump's campaign.

Supporters of former President Donald Trump are spreading artificial intelligence-generated photos of him surrounded by black voters to drum up extra support, according to a report.

The now-viral AI pictures show the former president hugging or posing with smiling black Americans, suggesting the fake people are supporters.

Cliff Albright, the co-founder of a group called Black Voters Matter, called the manipulated images a ā€œstrategic narrativeā€ aimed at perpetuating a specific lie — that Trump is popular among young black voters, according to the BBC.

A Rhode Island educator is speaking out about a DHS-funded program that purportedly promotes the teaching of media literacy and combating disinformation she claims is meant to "indoctrinate children." Ramona Bessinger, a high school teacher in Providence, R.I., authored a piece for Legal Insurrection on Monday recalling the training she and other educators participated in last fall, blowing the whistle she says on an initiative from the University of Rhode Island's Media Education Lab called Courageous RI.
