Some of the Big Apple’s poorest zip codes are being forced to bear the greatest brunt of the city’s migrant crisis â€” including a Queens neighborhood saddled with more shelters than any other part of the five boroughs, internal data kept from the public but obtained by The Post reveal.

Long Island City is home to a staggering 23 government-run migrant shelters — 12% of the 193 operating in New York City, according to data tallied off a confidential list of shelter sites used by city agencies.

A City Hall aide who was suspended for inappropriate conduct amid an FBI probe into Mayor Eric Adams’ campaign fundraising is cooperating with the feds, sources confirmed to The Post.

The Adams staffer who turned on her boss has been identified by sources as Rana Abbasova, whose home was raided by the FBI as part of the federal corruption investigation into the mayor’s 2021 campaign.

After Abbasova’s New Jersey house was raided in November 2023, sources have said she urged fellow City Hall staffers to delete texts, leading to her suspension.

New York Mayor Eric Adams reacted in anger and disgust after anti-Israel protesters vandalized a World War I memorial in New York City on Monday. The 107th United States Infantry monument, located along Central Park on the Upper East Side, depicts seven U.S. Army soldiers in the throes of battle in September 1918, as they burst through the Hindenburg Line — the last and strongest of the German army's defense. On Monday, as anti-Israel protests were underway in the area near Hunter College and the star-studded Met Gala, demonstrators placed...

If Donald Trump is held in contempt of court again, the New York City Department of Corrections will "be ready" for his incarceration, according to Mayor Eric Adams. In the former president's Manhattan criminal trial, Judge Juan Merchan has ordered Trump to pay a total of $10,000 for repeatedly violating a gag order that forbade him from publicly discussing witnesses and jurors in the case. Following Tuesday's bombshell testimony from former adult film actress Stormy Daniels , some have questioned whether Trump, 77, might violate the order yet again and...

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) sounds the alarm that the roughly 300 pro-Hamas protestors arrested by NYPD Tuesday night at Columbia University and City College of New York may not be students— but rather part of radical terrorist organizations.

Adams said that when he became aware that the majority of the pro-terrorism protestors weren’t students but professional agitators, he promised to fight for the American “way of life” as the demonstrators continued to harass Jewish communities.

A pro-Palestinian passenger berated Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams, slamming him over his support for Israel, as he flew home from Miami after speaking at the 2024 Concordia Americas Summit.

Adams was in Florida to speak about the migrant crisis and the impact on local communities when border states transported illegal immigrants to self-described “sanctuary cities” like New York City — but the topic quickly turned to Israel when he boarded a plane to head for home.

NYPD Police Commissioner Edward Caban o Friday cleared two police officers of any wrongdoing in the killing of Kawaski Trawick, drawing sharp and immediate rebuke from the man’s family and police reform advocates who have for nearly five years called for the officers to be fired. In a late Friday afternoon press release, the NYPD said Caban “has determined that two New York City Police Department (NYPD) officers involved in the fatal shooting of Kawaski Trawick in April 2019 acted within the law for their actions leading up to the...

Love is in the air for squeakhearts — and city lawmakers want to stop them from becoming new parents. Councilmember Shaun Abreu (D-Manhattan) has proposed a rat birth control program jointly run by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and the Department of Sanitation — in the latest attempt to quell the plague. Abreu — who helms the Committee on Sanitation and Solid Waste Management — said “ContraPest pellets” would work together with the city’s broader push to fight rats. ”We believe that we need to take a shock-and-awe...

New York City Football Club will eventually have its own venue to call home after the New York City Council approved a Queens-based development project that will provide the soccer team with a 25,000-seat soccer stadium. The $780 million stadium is slated to open in 2027, according to the Associated Press, 12 years after NYCFC played its first game in Major League Soccer. New York City Mayor Eric Adams will have five days to approve or veto the decision, though a veto seems unlikely given Adams’ public support of the...

Amid growing concerns about public safety in the Big Apple, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced last week that officials will carry out a gun scanner pilot program to boost confidence in the safety of the public transit system.

“We are taking the next step forward in our ongoing efforts to make our subways even safer and ensure New Yorkers feel safer,” Adams said at a news conference.

The portable gun scanners will be introduced in some stations after a 90-day waiting period.
