Andrew Tate, an internet influencer known for spreading deeply misogynistic views, was reportedly arrested and detained in Bucharest, Romania, on Thursday in connection with a human trafficking investigation.

Romanian police executed search warrants and arrested four suspects ― two British and two Romanian nationals ― with suspected involvement in human trafficking, rape and forming an organized crime group, according to the country’s Directorate for Investigating Organised Crime and Terrorism.

Some members of the adult industry are worried that a prorposed federal bill that’s going after content that aims to “arouse, titillate, or gratify” sexual desires has the potential to outlaw porn nationwide.

This week, Republican Sen. Mike Lee, from Utah, introduced the Interstate Obscenity Definition Act (IODA), which seeks to “establish a national definition of obscenity that would apply to obscene content that is transmitted via interstate or foreign communications,” according to a statement from Lee’s office.

Business Insider reports on a lawsuit by a mother whose 14-year-old son’s rapist uploaded a video of the abuse to Pornhub, which was subsequently watched over 150,000 times.

In the civil suit against MindGeek, the plaintiffs allege that MindGeek’s Pornhub provided “assistance, platform, content mandates, and edits” to Franklin in order to generate “the maximum amount of views and drove the maximum volume of traffic for the mutual benefit of the Defendants and their unlawful scheme.”

Ever since the massacre of 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, two weeks ago, the GOP has been hard at work identifying the causes of mass school shootings, an affliction unique to the United States.

But rather than addressing the common factor in each of these tragedies–readily available firearms—they’ve been trying to outdo each other with increasingly extreme and absurd explanations for why school shootings take place with such horrifying regularity.

As he gallivants across Texas trying to outdo his Republican challengers ahead of the GOP primary for governor on March 1, incumbent Greg Abbott is touting a solution in search of a problem.

“The parental bill of rights empowers parents to hold their schools accountable; there must be accountability,” Abbott said during a campaign stop in Harlingen Wednesday along his “Celebration of Texas” tour.

Gov. Greg Abbott, R-Texas, has called for an investigation into criminal activity due to the availability of pornographic content in the state’s public schools.

Abbott directed his request to the Texas Education Agency.

"NEW: Directing @TEAinfo to investigate any criminal activity in public schools related to the availability of pornographic material & to report such instances for prosecution to the fullest extent of the law," Abbott tweeted Wednesday morning.

The website OnlyFans is reversing a planned ban on pornography and other sexually explicit content.

Just days ago, the London-based company said that starting in October, it would block sexually explicit material, in response to concerns from banks and other financial services companies that enable transactions on the subscription service. It did not name the companies.

But on Wednesday, OnlyFans said it would be able to continue allowing adult content, which is a large part of its business, after all.

Mia Khalifa criticized BangBros for allegedly capitalizing on Eric Garner's death.

The former adult entertainer’s war against porn giant websites such as BangBros continues. On Sunday (July 5), Khalifa took to Instagram and shared a screenshot of an alleged video from BangBros that seemingly mocked Garners death.

“When I say my problem with companies like BBros, X*ideos and PH ISN’T just about me this is what I mean,” Khalifa wrote.
