Trump health officials could be about to recommend a complete stop to covid vaccines for all age groups in the US, according to a report.

The move would effectively ban the vaccines amid widespread suggestions that they are having expansive side effects and causing a spike in excess deaths.

The Daily Mail outlines how Dr Jay Bhattacharya, President Trump’s nomination to lead the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has backed a petition calling for the mRNA vaccines to be paused and retested.

Covid vaccines could be suspended for all age groups in America under radical new plans backed by key health figures in the Trump Administration.

Several experts poised for top jobs in US health agencies subscribe to the disputed idea the shots are causing widespread side effects and deaths.

Dr Jay Bhattacharya, who has been nominated to lead the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has backed a petition calling for the mRNA vaccines to be paused and retested, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Senate committee members heard arguments on a bill that would place a 10-year pause on administering mRNA vaccines in Idaho on Monday but did not take a vote.

Sen. Brandon Shippy, R-New Plymouth, brought the bill and presented it with a slate of out-of-state physicians, many of whom have been linked to anti-COVID vaccine groups or identified as spreading misinformation.

Shippy’s bill, SB 1036, calls for a pause on delivery of vaccines or any therapy that uses messenger RNA vaccine technology, which is used in two vaccines against COVID-19.

Idaho lawmakers are considering Senate Bill 1036, which seeks to pause gene therapy immunizations for 10 years. The bill is named for an Idaho rancher who claims he was paralyzed after receiving the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

The Idaho Senate committee discussed the bill, which would ban the use of DNA and RNA-based vaccines. However, they did not vote on it.

The Montana House killed a similar bill under consideration on Wednesday.

President Donald Trump’s new â€śMake America Healthy Again” commission is reviewing certain vaccines and possible links to chronic illnesses as some states push to restrict the use of COVID-19 vaccines.

Vaccines using messenger RNA, or mRNA, technology became widespread during the pandemic. With limited long-term studies available, the Trump administration is revisiting these vaccines.

Distrust in medical institutions and research dominated discussions in the North Dakota House of Representatives on Wednesday, Feb. 19, before lawmakers struck down two bills related to public health — one that would have banned fluoride treatments in public water supplies and another aiming to expand vaccination exemptions.

Denied by a vote of 40-53, House Bill 1605 sought to criminalize the use of fluoride in any public water supply and would have made the act punishable by a $500 fine.

In less than three weeks, a measles outbreak has jumped from two cases among unvaccinated children in West Texas to 48. Three cases have also been found in a neighboring county in New Mexico. Thus far, 13 children have been hospitalized. Vaccine-preventable diseases such as measles remain a public health threat. And with childhood vaccine hesitancy—or simply outright refusal—on the rise, the problem is likely to worsen.

Measles cases in Texas have nearly doubled in the past two weeks, making it the worst outbreak the state has seen in three decades. Now, cases are spreading into neighboring New Mexico.

Texas has reported 58 measles cases so far, and 13 of the patients have been hospitalized.

The epicenter is in Gaines County, Texas, a rural area in the South Plains region where nearly one in five children are unvaccinated. The county is home to a large Mennonite community, and members often apply for exemptions to school vaccine mandates for religious reasons.

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) has been tracking a measles outbreak in the South Plains region of the state.

The agency first confirmed the outbreak on Feb. 5, and it has since been growing.

A Tuesday update stated that 58 cases have been identified within the last three weeks as symptoms occurred.

WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration’s head of medical device safety, Ross “Rusty” Segan, was among those terminated by the Trump administration this weekend.

Center of Devices and Radiological Health chief Michelle Tarver informed staff of the news in an email reviewed by STAT. Segan started in the role in September, so he was in his probationary two-year period with the agency. Tarver also noted that a “significant” number of device center employees were let go.
