ā€œCorporateā€ Democrats in the Senate imperil Joe Biden’s Build Back Better Act, a leading House progressive warned – but not just Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, the targets of most leftwing ire.

Such Democrats, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan said, are influenced by donors who ā€œdon’t have the best interests of the American people in mindā€.

At the same time, the New York Times reported that Manchin and Sinema are increasingly receiving money from corporate and conservative donors.

It’s a classic Trump move: Blame a minority group for a sinister conspiracy, then deny responsibility when your supporters act on your baseless claim.

Work 'em into a lather, rinse and repeat.

Few have been victimized by Donald Trump’s hateful tactics more than Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), who with other members of ā€œthe Squadā€ were told by Trump to ā€œgo back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.ā€

So why is Tlaib now using the Trump playbook against others?

President Biden and Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib engaged in a tense, roughly eight-minute conversation on the airport tarmac Detroit after Biden's arrival there Monday.

Tlaib refused to say what she and the president discussed, but at one point Biden patted the congresswoman’s shoulder. Later, during a speech in Dearborn, he lavishly complimented her.

Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib raised eyebrows Sunday after she retweeted a message with a phrase that’s associated with calling for an end to the state of Israel.

ā€œRashida Tlaib RT's out the same message that got Marc Lamont Hill canned from CNN,ā€ StopAntisemitism.org tweeted. ā€œFrom the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free - code for eradicating the State of Israel and its millions of Jews. Reminder - this is a sitting U.S. Congresswoman.ā€

Rep. Rashida Tlaib was briefly detained by police Friday during a protest with airline workers at Detroit Metro Airport. The congresswoman was on hand to demand better pay and health care for the employees.

ā€œWe won’t stop until we get #fairwages & #healthcare. These courageous people got arrested tonight at DTW b/c they believe workers deserve human dignity,ā€ the Michigan Democrat said in a tweeted statement, sharing a smiling photo of herself with protesters. ā€œShame on you @Delta for leaving workers behind and letting them live in poverty. @unitehere

Romulus — U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib joined airline catering workers who work for Delta Airlines on Friday to protest "poverty wages and unaffordable healthcare."

Tlaib locked arms with eight airline workers who sat blocking traffic at Detroit Metropolitan Airport while nearly 100 union members with Unite Here rallied outside Delta's McNamara Terminal departures. The protesters held signs reading "Delta: one job should be enough."

Refusing to move, eight airline workers were arrested by airport officers.

Michigan Democratic Representative Rashida Tlaib was detained by police as she participated in a demonstration at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) Friday. Tlaib joined with airport catering employees in their protest for higher wages and a better health care program.

While Tlaib was not arrested, some protesters with her were taken into custody for blocking a road. Tlaib chose to ride with those arrested.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., who is no stranger to controversy, was forced to backpedal Saturday morning after she booed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during an Iowa rally for Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

Hours after Tlaib booed Clinton on the stage at a Sanders event in Clive, Iowa, she issued a statement about her actions.

Two Muslim US congresswomen have been targeted by a vast international operation that exploits far-right pages on Facebook to inflame Islamophobia for profit, a Guardian investigation has found.

A mysterious Israeli-based group uses 21 Facebook pages to churn out more than a thousand coordinated fake news posts per week to more than a million followers around the world. It milks the traffic for revenue from digital advertising.
