In the spirit of the holiday season, the labor movement keeps on giving the gift of strikes. This time, California State University faculty are the ones walking the picket line. The California Faculty Association, which represents close to 29,000 professors, lecturers, librarians, counselors and coaches across the CSU system, is staging one-day strikes at multiple campuses this week. Sacramento State is next up on the list, with the rolling strike scheduled to reach California’s capital city Thursday.

(AP) — Aidan Bouman threw two touchdown passes, Charles Pierre rushed for 123 yards and No. 3-seed South Dakota defeated Sacramento State 34-24 on Saturday in the second round of the FCS playoffs. The University of South Dakota football team notched their trip to the program's first FCS quarterfinals on Saturday with a 34-24 win over Sacramento State. Both defenses held strong early, forcing three-and-outs on their opponent's respective drives.
