Canadian police confirmed on Monday that sexual assault charges have been levied against five players from Canada's 2018 world junior ice hockey team – four of whom currently play in the National Hockey League (NHL).

The incident in question was first reported to police in June 2018 by a woman who claimed to have been sexually assaulted by members of the team in a hotel room after a Hockey Canada charity event in London, Ontario.

As the other GOP presidential candidates crisscrossed New Hampshire Wednesday in advance of the first-in-the-nation primary, Donald Trump was sitting in a New York district courthouse, earning the scorn of a judge who repeatedly warned the former president he would throw him out of the courtroom if Trump couldn’t control his outbursts.

E Jean Carroll has testified that Donald Trump "shattered" her reputation after she accused him of sexually assaulting her in the 1990s.

The judge threatened to kick the former president out of the federal court in Manhattan after he was overheard criticising the plaintiff's testimony.

This is Ms Carroll's second civil defamation case against Mr Trump. The writer is seeking $10m (ÂŁ8m).

Mr Trump, 77, has denied her accusation and continues to do so.

A judge threatened to bar former President Trump from his civil trial in New York City on Wednesday over his loud reactions to E. Jean Carroll's testimony claiming he ruined her reputation after she accused him of sexual abuse.

Judge Lewis Kaplan admonished Trump for his audible reactions to Carroll’s testimony in front of the jury, threatening that the former president could be barred from the trial if he continues.

Trump was heard saying "that’s not true," "it’s a witch hunt" and "it really is a con job" during Carroll’s testimony.

A highly anticipated trove of secret court files related to Jeffrey Epstein was unsealed on Wednesday, shedding more light on the sex-trafficker’s victims and famous colleagues.

More than 150 people—including former President Bill Clinton and his aide Doug Band—are named in the documents that were previously filed under seal as part of a lawsuit that Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre brought against his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell.

Israel's military says it's making substantial progress in its goal to destroy the Hamas terror infrastructure in Gaza. The Army's ground offensive is racing against international pressure for a ceasefire while striving for the rescue of the more than 130 hostages still in the hands of Hamas.

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Chief Spokesman Daniel Hagari said IDF forces have broken through key defensive lines in Jabaliya, Shijaiya, and Khan Younis.

A woman has accused New York City's Mayor Eric Adams of sexual assault in court papers filed late on Wednesday.

The summons alleges that the plaintiff was assaulted by Mr Adams in 1993 "while they both worked for the City of New York".

Mr Adams denied the claims and told CBS News that didn't "recall even meeting" his accuser.

The legal action was filed under New York state's Adult Survivors Act, which expires on Friday.

The mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, has been accused of sexual assault in a court filing submitted on late Wednesday.

The summons against Adams alleges that the plaintiff “was sexually assaulted by Defendant Eric Adams in New York, New York in 1993 while they both worked for the City of New York”.

It was filed under the Adult Survivors Act, a New York state law which provided a one-year “look-back” window for adult sexual misconduct accusers to file civil lawsuits that previously would have been barred due to the statute of limitations.

Mayor Eric Adams has been accused of sexual assault in a legal action filed Wednesday night in a New York court, The Messenger has learned.

The plaintiff in the case, a woman whose name is being withheld by The Messenger due to the nature of the allegation, filed a summons Wednesday night in state Supreme Court in Manhattan under the Adult Survivors Act that names the Big Apple Democrat as a defendant.

The filing also names the transit bureau of the New York Police Department and the Guardian Association of the NYPD as defendants.

Mayor Eric Adams has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in 1993 in a lawsuit seeking at least $5 million filed just before the deadline for the Adult Survivors Act, The Post learned Thursday.

The accuser, whom The Post is not identifying because of the nature of the allegation, named Adams as a defendant along with the NYPD’s transit bureau and Guardian Association in a lawsuit filed late Wednesday.

Adams was an NYPD officer at the time and the filing said the woman also worked for the city.
