The Biden campaign hosted a number of North Carolina student journalists Thursday morning for a virtual discussion of the role reproductive rights will play in the upcoming presidential election. Moderated by Natalie Murdock, Democratic state senator representing North Carolina’s 20th district, the event featured insights from Amanda Zurawski and Kaitlyn Joshua — two women who were personally affected by the overturning of Roe v. Wade in the summer 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Supreme Court decision.

Charges against a Gold Star father arrested for disrupting President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address this month should be dropped, according to a House Republican.

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) sent a letter to Capitol Police Chief J. Thomas Manger on Monday offering a defense of Steve Nikoui speaking out for his late son Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Kareem Nikoui, who was one of the 13 U.S. service members killed in the 2021 Kabul airport attack.

President Joe Biden's State of the Union address wasn't well received by most Americans, according to four polls taken following his speech, reports The Federalist.

Fifty-nine percent of registered voters told HarrisX/Forbes pollsters that Biden's speech served to divide the country further, not unify it, compared to 41% who said the opposite.

Otherwise, Biden's address didn't do much to boost his numbers in other polls, including YouGov, Yahoo, Rasmussen, FiveThirtyEight, and Morning Consult.

Former President Donald Trump promised to provide a live “play by play” via Truth Social to “correct, in rapid response, any and all inaccurate Statements” made by President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address. But we found many of Trump’s alleged corrections were
 factually incorrect.

Under Biden, Trump claimed, “Migrant Violence is leading to the Worst Crime Wave in History!” But homicides and violent crime in general have been trending down the last two years and is nowhere near historic levels.

A senior Hamas official has shared with Newsweek the Palestinian movement's response to President Joe Biden's State of the Union address, offering rare approval of a newly announced U.S. plan to provide aid to Gaza while overall condemning Washington's approach to the group's ongoing war with Israel.

The World Central Kitchen ship Open Arms reached Larnaca Port in Cyprus three weeks ago. If it has not yet set out for Gaza, it is supposed to do so in the next few hours, thus inaugurating the maritime humanitarian route that may change the way aid is transferred to the Gaza Strip.

The ship, loaded with more than 200 tons of flour, rice, tuna cans and other products, has already been inspected by Israeli officials who came to Larnaca to ensure it does not carry military equipment, weapons or materials that may be used for military purposes.

President Biden, during his State of the Union address, announced an effort to create an aid corridor to Gaza that will include a U.S.–constructed pier for shipments of food and other supplies to reach Palestinians. This “temporary” construction would be a significant expansion of the Biden administration’s aid measures and no longer done at arm’s length, whatever promises of “no American boots on the ground” the president might make. As with all else, there are only tradeoffs. In this case, it’s almost all bad.

President Joe Biden said Saturday that he regretted using the term “illegal” during his State of the Union address to describe the suspected killer of Laken Riley, as his all-but-certain 2024 GOP rival, Donald Trump, blasted the Democrat’s immigration policies and blamed them for her death at a rally attended by the Georgia nursing student’s family and friends.

Biden expressed remorse after facing frustration from some in his party for the use of the term to describe people who arrived or are living in the U.S. illegally.

U.S. President Joe Biden on Saturday said he regretted using the term "illegal" in a recent speech to describe an undocumented immigrant who allegedly murdered a student, which drew fire from Democrats and immigration advocates who see the word as dehumanizing.
