Hamas released three more Israeli hostages Saturday — including an American father of three — preserving the fragile cease-fire agreement that nearly imploded after the terrorists threatened to delay the release of any additional captives.

Hamas and affiliated terror group Palestinian Islamic Jihad turned over a trio of men kidnapped on Oct. 7, 2023  — Sagui Dekel-Chen, 36; Alexander Troufanov, 29; and Yair Horn, 46 — to members of the International Committee of the Red Cross, which has been facilitating the release of the hostages in Gaza.

The Trump administration is preparing to designate a series of Mexican drug cartels and two from Central and South America as foreign terrorist organizations. The move comes as Mexico continues to experience unprecedented levels of violence, including the widespread use of landmines and improvised explosive devices, despite empty government claims that crime has decreased and impunity has ended.

Trump has ordered the U.S. to withdraw from the U.N.’s World Health Organization, a move health experts say could undermine the global response to the next pandemic. Other executive orders issued by Trump on day one include a rollback of policies around DEI and LGBTQ rights, reflecting the mounting right-wing attack on transgender communities. One order states, “Agencies will cease pretending that men can be women and women can be men when enforcing laws that protect against sex discrimination.” Another order seeks to rename the Gulf of Mexico to “Gulf...

A car-ramming attack on a Christmas market in the German city of Magdeburg — which left six people dead shortly before Christmas — will not be investigated as a terrorist attack, the country's Federal Prosecutor General Jens Rommel told regional channel SWR.

Rommel said the perpetrator of the attack, a Saudi-born doctor who described himself as an ex-Muslim, likely carried out the rampage "out of personal frustration" and didn't target state institutions.

In a move that has alarmed national security experts and Republicans alike, outgoing President Joe Biden has removed Cuba from the U.S. State Department’s list of state sponsors of terrorism, despite the island nation’s well-documented ties to terrorist organizations like Hamas and Hezbollah. This decision, widely criticized as a dangerous concession, overlooks Cuba's continued support for terrorist groups, which threaten U.S. allies and interests in the Middle East and beyond.

The Turo app was used to rent the cars associated with the vehicular attack in New Orleans as well as the Cybertruck explosion in Las Vegas on Wednesday. Newsweek reached out to the Turo communications team via email for comment. Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, has been named the suspect in the New Year's attack on Bourbon Street that killed at least 15 people and injured 30 early Wednesday morning. Later on Wednesday in Las Vegas, a Cybertruck exploded in front of the Trump International Hotel, killing one and injuring seven others....

The deadly New Orleans terror attack and the Cybertruck explosion outside the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas on New Year’s Day have at least one connection — the car-sharing app Turo.

While officials have indicated that they have no evidence so far that the two incidents may be linked, investigators have determined the pickup truck used by a terrorist on Bourbon Street and the exploding Tesla truck were both procured using Turo.

Turo is a platform that allows users to rent vehicles from trusted hosts that are registered with the site.

Two Israeli soldiers survived battles with Hamas and Hezbollah in their homeland after Oct. 7 — only to be severely injured in the ISIS-inspired rampage in New Orleans while on vacation.

The unidentified “best friends” in their mid-20s — who were traveling around the US to “clear their heads” after serving in the Israel Defense Forces reserves for more than a year — were “severely” injured after being rammed in the New Year’s Day terror attack, Israel’s consul to the Southwest United States told The Post.

President Joe Biden will visit New Orleans next week, with the city still reeling from the deadly New Year’s rampage in which an Army veteran plowed a truck into revelers.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is scheduled to hold a news briefing at 1 p.m. ET. Watch in the player above.

The White House says the president and first lady will travel to New Orleans on Monday to “grieve with the families and community members impacted by the tragic attack.”
