KRUGERVILLE — Liberty Hill resident T.J. Wagner yelled commands at his friend James Johnson in an empty classroom at a building in North Texas earlier this month: “Face the wall! Feet apart! Hands behind your back!”

Within seconds, Wagner handcuffed Johnson, leading him out of the room with one hand gripping the metal cuffs and the other squeezing his right bicep to guide him out. Then, the two switched places and it was Johnson’s turn to detain his buddy.

On Sunday morning a gunman opened fire at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas. The gunman shot two people before an armed person in the congregation shot him seconds after the gunman opened fire. One of the victims is reportedly in critical condition, the other has died.

The church was live streaming their Sunday service when shots were fired. Thus you can watch below the immediate response of the armed security member to the gunman opening fire. Warning: It is graphic and heartbreaking.

Critics of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden are slamming his comments about Texas's nonrestrictive firearms laws after an armed parishioner shot and killed a suspect who opened fire on a church congregation in the state over the weekend.

“It is irrational, with all due respect to the governor of Texas, it’s irrational what they’re doing,” Biden said in September following a mass shooting at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. "I mean every day, you see a mass shooting."

Yes, good guys with guns can save lives. They just did in the West Freeway Church of Christ.

The same weekend that Orthodox Jews in Monsey, N.Y., were fighting off another knife-wielding anti-Semite thug with chairs and coffee tables — they were fortunate that the perpetrator hadn’t brought a firearm, like the killer who targeted a yeshiva in Jersey City only a few weeks earlier — Jack Wilson, a 71-year-old congregant and security volunteer at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas, took mere seconds to stop a potential mass murderer.

A gunman opened fire at a church in Texas on Sunday morning, killing two people with a shotgun before a member of the church’s volunteer security team fatally shot him, the authorities said.

About 250 people were inside the auditorium of the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, near Fort Worth, when the gunman began shooting just before communion, said Jack Cummings, a minister at the church.

A man pulled out a shotgun inside a North Texas church on Sunday and opened fire, killing two people, authorities said. It could have been far worse.

Two congregants, both volunteer members of the church's security team, drew their weapons and confronted the gunman, fatally shooting him and saving an "untold number of lives" at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, a town of about 17,000 people near Fort Worth.

The gunman who pulled out a shotgun during a church service in Texas on Sunday and opened fire on worshipers appeared to be in disguise when he entered the sanctuary, according to a woman who said he made her feel uncomfortable when he sat feet away from her.

Two men were killed when the gunman opened fire at West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, as more than 240 parishioners were inside. Within seconds, he was shot to death by two congregants who fired back.

Texas's gun laws are once again under a microscope after a deadly shooting inside a church Sunday.

During a Sunday service, Keith Thomas Kinnunen, 43, burst into the West Freeway Church of Christ in White Settlement, Texas, and shot and killed two people, before Jack Wilson - the church's head of security - shot him dead.

"The heroism today is unparalleled," said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.

In the hours since this incident, gun rights supporters have praised both Wilson and laws passed this past legislative session, expanding where license holders can carry their guns.
