The Washington Post issued a series of corrections on stories published during the Russiagate saga, a direct result of reporting from the Twitter Files by independent journalist Matt Taibbi.

In January, Taibbi drew attention to Hamilton 68, a "dashboard" that purportedly monitored Russian bot activity and was frequently cited by top Democrats and the media in the height of the Trump-Russia collusion investigation. But behind the scenes, Twitter executives trashed Hamilton 68 and deliberated over whether they should publicly rebuke the program. 

Top House Democrat Stacey Plaskett, V.I., is facing intense backlash for threatening jail time towards independent journalist Matt Taibbi over his testimony about the Twitter Files at last month's Congressional hearing. 

"Sure is getting fashy around here," reacted fellow Twitter Files journalist Michael Shellenberger, who testified alongside Taibbi at the hearing. 

"Twitter Files" journalist Matt Taibbi says it's "chilling and crazy" that Del. Stacey Plaskett, D-Virgin Islands, the ranking member of the House Select Subcommittee on Weaponization of the Federal Government threatened him with jail time over an error he made and later corrected.

"Well, basically this is all over me getting an acronym wrong by one letter in one tweet, but actually the error is on the part of the committee and MSNBC, which interviewed me about this," Taibbi said Friday during an appearance on Newsmax's "The Record with Greta Van Susteren."

The ranking member of the House Judiciary Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, Del. Stacey Plaskett (D-VI), raised eyebrows on Thursday after she sent independent journalist Matt Taibbi a letter asking if he would like to correct his under-oath testimony before her committee and noted the five-year jail sentence for perjury.

Elon Musk broke his silence about the Twitter CEO’s conflict with the online publishing site Substack and one of its biggest writers Matt Taibbi on Saturday. Taibbi, who worked on the so-called Twitter Files, announced he was quitting Twitter on Friday after the social media platform severely hampered the sharing of Substack content. And Musk is calling Taibbi a liar.

“Substack links were never blocked. Matt’s statement is false,” Musk tweeted on Saturday.

Twitter's continually escalating feud with Substack appears to be going strong as users found out this weekend that searches for the blogging site are being redirected to "newsletter" instead.

This appears to be another attempt by the Elon Musk-owned social media site to keep users away from Substack, as the former appears to be going to war with the newsletter platform. The recent decision by Twitter to redirect searches for "Substack" to "newsletter" has sparked controversy and raised concerns about free speech.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. The professional relationship between billionaire Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter, and independent journalist Matt Taibbi hit a serious and possibly irreparable snag late last week following Musk's quixotic decision to suppress links to Substack.

Matt Taibbi, one of Elon Musk’s handpicked disseminators of the so-called “Twitter Files,” informed his readers on Friday that he was ditching Twitter after the Chief Twit restricted links to Substack this week.

On Friday, Twitter began preventing users from engaging with tweets that contained links to Substack articles, blocking any likes, retweets and comments from these posts. Additionally, users were unable to pin any tweets to the top of their profile if they included a Substack link.
