The Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) upcoming Vaccine and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee meeting on March 13 was abruptly canceled via email on Wednesday. The committee was to consider the selection of strains to be included in the influenza virus vaccines for the 2025–2026 flu season. This is the second vaccine-related advisory meeting canceled since Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. took over at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley might have a vaccine mandate problem. Haley has been campaigning on how the COVID vaccine mandates were un-American and disrespectful, now that we know its efficacy is probably no better than the seasonal flu shot: it may save you a hospital trip, but you can still contract the virus. It’s endemic now, but we have therapeutics like the seasonal flu. COVID, influenza, the seasonal cold—all are contagious.

By early August, data gathered from national wastewater testing suggested a new surge of Covid infections was upon us. That metric was reinforced by rising test positivity rates and a modest but observable increase in the number of Covid-related hospitalizations. In combination with the emergence of what epidemiologists are calling a “highly mutated” variant of the virus, New York State has reassumed a posture of “high alert,” with more states likely to follow suit.

Former ESPN anchor Sage Steele says fighting hypocrisy was at the heart of her lawsuit against ESPN, and she’s proud of sticking up for what she believes in.

“We’re very open about everyone being able to be who they are unless they’re biracial and you choose to say you’re biracial and not Black,” Steele said in her first cable news interview on NewsNation’s “Morning In America.”

Gov. Ron DeSantis says he's seeking to protect Florida from the "biomedical security state," by permanently banning COVID-19 vaccines and masks.

"It required us over the past few years to stand against major institutions in our society: The bureaucracy, the medical establishment, legacy media and even the President of the United States who, together, were working to impose a biomedical security state on society." DeSantis said while speaking at the Todd Herendeen Theater in Panama City Beach.

Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday announced a policy proposal banning many pandemic mitigation efforts involving mask mandates and vaccine requirements in the state.

The proposal would permanently prohibit Covid-19 vaccine passports in Florida, prohibit Florida schools from instituting Covid-19 vaccine or mask requirements, forbid businesses in the state from requiring masks and bar “employers from hiring or firing based on mRNA jabs.”
