Former President Donald Trump shouted out Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) during a speech Saturday, one day after she was the surprise speaker at a white nationalist conference.

As he began a rambling speech at the 2022 Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, Trump included Greene in a list of Republicans he highlighted including Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) and MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.

Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell called for ā€œa white nationalism task forceā€ at the Department of Justice Monday.

ā€œThey’re going to need, I believe, at the Department of Justice, a white nationalism task force to make sure that they’re understanding at the earliest of ages how people are being radicalized, if there are in fact training camps,ā€ Swalwell said on ā€œMSNBC Live With Katy Tur.ā€

With the National Football League officially starting their season last night, the two teams, the reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans, gathered on the field for a moment of unity and fans in the stands booed the players for their display, according to Yahoo Sports.

At last night’s NFL season-opener at Arrowhead Stadium, according to the NFL, the stadium announcer led the teams in a moment of unity by asking the crowd to ā€œplease join us in a moment of silence dedicated to the ongoing fight for equality in our country.ā€

Google on Friday terminated the YouTube channel of white nationalist Nick Fuentes.

A notice on the channel, which was known as ā€œAmerica First with Nicholas J Fuentes,ā€ states that the termination is related to violations of the platform’s hate speech rules.

ā€œThis account has been terminated due to multiple or severe violations of YouTube’s policy prohibiting hate speech,ā€ the notice reads.

The removal comes just over one month after Google opted to demonetize the channel and end the far-right figure’s ability to earn revenue from advertisements.

This Abridge News topic aggregates four unique arguments on different sides of the debate. Here are the quick facts to get you started:

THE QUICK FACTS

If you want to understand the power of social media in weaponizing and accelerating the left’s attack on truth and Ādecency, look no further than The Washington Post’s false accusation this week that J.D. Vance, author of the bestselling memoir ā€œHillbilly Elegy,ā€ is a closet white supremacist.

This is the anatomy of a Twitter lynching, a good man’s reputation strung up and beaten to a pulp. In the impressionistic half-life of Āsocial media’s attention span, the damage can never really be undone.

For most of its length, Marissa Brostoff’s Washington Post op-ed on the alleged links between the pro-life movement and white nationalism is merely propagandistic. At the end it becomes a despicable smear of conservative author J. D. Vance (a friend who is now affiliated with the American Enterprise Institute, as I am).

Last fall, speaking to a far-right Austrian magazine, the Iowa Republican congressman Steve King succinctly laid out his theory of Western decline. The problem, he suggested, was a demographic born at the nexus of reproduction and immigration. ā€œIf we continue to abort our babies and import a replacement for them in the form of young violent men, we are supplanting our culture, our civilization,ā€ King said.
