Washington (CNN)A Department of Justice office sent its employees, including immigration judges, a daily news briefing that included a link to a blog featuring racial and anti-Semitic slurs, according to a letter sent by an immigration judges union.

The department's Executive Office for Immigration Review sent an office-wide collection of "news" items on Monday -- which the agency says is compiled by a contractor -- that included the link from the white nationalist website VDare, the letter states.

Sometimes, amidst the avalanche of historic pettiness and cruelty, it’s easy to forget the historic incompetence of the Trump White House. But it’s a largely hollow statement: The shooter won’t be charged as a domestic terrorist.

Reports that the suspected gunman at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, saw his mass shooting as “a response to the Hispanic invasion of Texas” has prompted bipartisan calls for the US to treat the threat of domestic “white terrorists” as seriously as the threat of attacks by supporters of al-Qaida or Isis.

But experts who study racist violence say the attack must be understood not just as a domestic problem within the United States, but as part of a global network of white nationalist radicalization and violence.

The left’s recent grandstanding about the supposedly rising tide of White Nationalism is a scam. It’s an attempt to further censor mainstream conservative voices on social media.

Like Leftism, White Nationalism is a low and stupid idea. Like Leftism, White Nationalism assumes there is something inherently “white” about Western Civilization. Like Leftists, White Nationalists feel this whiteness is somehow under attack by “the browning of America.” The only difference between the Left and the White Nationalists is which side of this imaginary race struggle they’re on.

Facebook is banning white nationalism and white supremacy from its social network following criticism that it had not done enough to eliminate hate speech on its platform.

The social media giant said in a blog post Wednesday that conversations with academics and civil rights groups convinced the company to expand its policies around hate groups.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Facebook is extending its ban on hate speech to prohibit the promotion and support of white nationalism and white separatism.

The company previously allowed such material even though it has long banned white supremacists. The social network said Wednesday that it didn’t apply the ban previously to expressions of white nationalism because it linked such expressions with broader concepts of nationalism and separatism — such as American pride or Basque separatism (which are still allowed).
