Sinclair Broadcasting required its local news anchorsĀ to read from an identical script warning against false news and criticizing the mainstream media for "irresponsible, one-sided news stories."Ā Many on the Left denounced the network for displaying conservative bias, while some on the Right argued that such criticism is a double standard.

We all know them -- and we may be them. Who? People who seem to tear down every idea, project or dream we’ve been carefully crafting and protecting. Us dreamers are gonna dream -- and to make dreams a reality, we actually need the contrarians in our lives to help us. The challenge we have today is distinguishing between the contrarians, whose intention is to challenge us and our ideas to help us improve them; and the jerks, who think they look smart by pointing out our deficiencies and tearing everything apart.

Maybe we’re a little of both.

Earlier this week, theĀ House Intelligence Committee released a Democratic response to the Republican memo which had stipulated misconduct from the FBI and Justice Department.Ā The Democrats' highly redacted response suggested that the panel’s Republican majority had cherry-picked and distorted information in an effort to undercut the investigation being led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
