A New Jersey man was arrested Friday at Newark Liberty International Airport after attempting to bring a gun through a security checkpoint, officials said. Officers confiscated the 9mm handgun from the traveler, a resident of the Hopelawn section of Woodbridge, the Transportation Security Administration said. A Holmdel man is facing several charges after attempting to remove a Pride flag from a local Matawan business, according to police. The incident occurred at 11:45 a.m. Saturday outside Main Street Donuts, Matawan police said in a press release on Facebook. N.J. man who uploaded 33 child sex abuse videos convicted of endangering

A Paterson man was convicted Wednesday in Superior Court in Passaic County of possessing and uploading dozens of child porn videos, authorities said.

Renato C. LaTorre, 25, was found guilty after a jury trial of one count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

LaTorre’s attorney, Darryl Richardson, of Freehold, was not available to comment as he was in court Thursday morning.
