EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office (EPSO) responded to an overnight shooting on Akawi Way in the Peyton area on December 7, 2023. COLORADO SPRINGS — Officials are responding to a shooting outside the El Paso County Courthouse on Thursday morning, according to the Colorado Spring Police Department. On their social media accounts, police said this is not an active shooter situation, and “there is no threat to the community.” A photo obtained by The Sun shows a man’s body lying on the walkway to the main entrance of the courthouse. Colorado Springs police are responding to a shooting at the El Paso County Courthouse. The El Paso County Sheriff stated in a post on X that the courthouse was closed for the day.
