An apparent Israeli airstrike killed two Palestinian journalists in southern Gaza on Sunday, including an Al Jazeera journalist who lost four close relatives earlier in the war.

Hamza Dahdouh is the son of veteran Al Jazeera correspondent Wael Dahdouh, whose wife, two other children and a grandson were killed by a previous Israeli strike.

The New York Times is facing backlash from Taylor Swift's inner circle and fans who claim their recent opinion piece questioning the popstar's sexuality is 'sexist'.

Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., introduced a resolution expressing that "regular journalistic activities" are protected by the First Amendment and that the U.S. government should end its prosecution against Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who is accused of publishing classified U.S. military documents.

The bipartisan resolution introduced Wednesday was co-sponsored by Reps. James McGovern, D-Mass.; Thomas Massie, R-Ky.; Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga.; Anna Paulina Luna, R-Fla.; Eric Bulsison, R-Mo.; Jeff Duncan, R-S.C.; Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Clay Higgins, D-La.

Elon Musk reinstated Alex Jones on X, citing a poll on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter that showed 70.1% of respondents favored bringing back the Infowars host.

"Vox Populi, Vox Dei," Musk wrote beneath the poll posted Saturday, sharing the Latin saying meaning the voice of the people is the voice of God. 

"The people have spoken and so it shall be," Musk then wrote early Sunday after more than 1.9 million people voted, according to the platform results. 

Elon Musk on Sunday reinstated the account of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on X, formerly Twitter, reneging on a year-ago vow to keep Jones off the social network.

Jones was previously suspended from Twitter in 2018 for violating the company’s “abusive behavior policy.” That suspension, deemed permanent under the company’s prior management, came as Jones faced a defamation lawsuit for spreading the false claim that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax.

Elon Musk said the account of right-wing extremist Alex Jones would be reinstated on X, formerly known as Twitter, reversing a 2018 decision by the company’s previous management to deplatform the notorious conspiracy theorist after he repeatedly broke rules prohibiting harassment and hate.

On Saturday morning, Musk posted an unscientific poll to his account asking users of the platform if Jones should be reinstated. By Saturday evening when the poll closed, about 70% of nearly 2 million respondents had voted “yes.”

In May, American YouTuber and columnist Gonzalo Lira was arrested in Ukraine because he “publicly justified” the Russian invasion, according to a press release by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

The statement from Kiev said that Lira “has the citizenship of one of the countries of Latin America” but omitted that he is also California-born U.S. citizen, as ZeroHedge contributor Space Worm reported at the time.

A radio reporter for a local NPR affiliate was arrested while covering a pro-Palestine rally in Tucson, Arizona on Thursday morning. Alisa Reznick’s station, KJZZ, reported that she was one of 26 people arrested for criminal trespass at the site. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement that those arrested had been cited and released in south Tucson. Video footage of the arrest posted to social media shows Reznick wearing a media pass and repeatedly identifying herself as a journalist as she is handcuffed. “I’m a reporter,” she says.
